Our order was placed as soon as they became available! With impressive Stock performance of  231PS and 370NM the S1 justifies it's supermini staus. However, a few early reviews suggested the car, although quick, didn't feel as quick as they had expected given its small design and power to weight ratio.  The engine/turbocharger setup is similar to what is found in the  MK7 Golf Gti and Skoda Octavia vRS, Our R&D team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise with this engine, which allowed them to hit the ground running the minute our own S1 arrived. They then spent the next few months learning the stock characteristics of the S1 and how the power and torque were delivered through the 4 wheel drive Quattro system. Once calibration and development started it soon became apparent that the S1 had a lot of potential hidden away, it was down to Revo to extract this and develop the Stage 1 software. After months of development and testing, Stage 1 software is available. Stage 2 allows you to run a sports cat or de-cat without the CEL (Check Engine Light) being triggered by a ‘CAT Efficiency’ error code. When you first start your car, the cold oil is at its thickest, producing higher oil pressure when pumped around the engine putting extra pressure on oil seals. As the engine temperature increases, so do the oil temperature. This thins the oil, enabling it to run more freely and better lubricate the moving parts of your engine. When you first start your car, the cold oil is at its thickest, producing higher oil pressure when pumped around the engine putting extra pressure on oil seals. The 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (0GC) was derived from the advanced development of the previous 7-speed gearboxes, such as the DQ380 (ODE) and DQ500 (0BT), which had been used in commercial vehicles from 2010 and passenger vehicles since 2011. One key feature of the DQ381 gearbox was principally aimed at increasing efficiency. Our Stage 2 GPF software retains the stock downpipe, factory catalytic convertor and GPF 3, although we did upgrade the GPF back section on the ST development vehicle to give more exhaust acoustics.   Whilst we are not supporting GPF removal, over the months of extensive development, we tested all variations of exhaust setups to determine the effects and restrictions of the stock downpipe and GPF. The conclusion was that although the stock system was obviously going to be slightly more restrictive over a system with no Catalytic convertor and GPF, the actual peak number gains seen on the dyno showed less than a 4% gain through a limited part of the rev range. During the rest of the rev range, the results were very similar.  There is a much more significant restriction closer to the engine; a combination of integral manifold/port/turbine design.  All Revo Stage 2 GPF software is specifically designed for a Stock downpipe and GPF. Although Revo offers some of the most substantial performance increases on the market, peak figures form part of a much bigger picture and are never the sole focus during development. Revo Software offers a perfect balance of performance, economy, longevity and safety. 2.0 TFSI ENGINE Our Stage 1 software upgrade is flashed through the ODB-II port leaving the factory ECU intact and providing impressive peak power gains. Whilst the peak gains are impressive, this doesn't tell the full story; our software has been refined to give you increased torque and power throughout the rev range without compromising on drivability, smoothness or power delivery. The increases in torque give immense flexibility in any gear, and the engine revs out to redline much more enthusiastically than stock. The enhanced delivery of power achieved by the Revo software calibrators means that fuel economy remains unaffected, with some customers noting up to a 10% improvement in fuel economy as the engine no longer has to work as hard in each gear; this can vary depending on driving style.   SOFTWARE FEATURES SPEED LIMIT UNLOCK The top speed limit for this vehicle has been unlocked.   RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT  Testing facilities at their UK Headquarters, as well as a track office at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground.
