R600 COLD AIR INTAKE
Simply the most sophisticated induction system for the MQB (Golf 7, A3/S3 8V etc) with 2.0 or 1.8 TSI engines. Hand built in the UK to OEM standards of materials, workmanship and detailing. But more importantly, the giant Trifoam filter doubles the standard surface area to give airflow for 600hp and beyond.
It’s so critical to draw in air from outside the car. Whatever the ambient temperature on the day, this air is “cold” compared to the hot air inside the engine compartment. And never forget that precious truth: as intake air temperatures increase, so your engine’s power decreases. No way around it.
So by extending the R600’s intake apertures across the front of the car, this maximises the amount of cold air breathing into the giant, double-sized airbox. Look at the CFD model below and you can see with your own eyes the difference dual intakes makes.
TURBO INLET PIPE
Another essential element to the airflow between intake and turbo is our Turbo Inlet Hose. Replace the restrictive standard plastic ‘bellows’ pipe with our free-flowing, ultra smooth reinforced silicone pipe.
TURBO 90 INLET
Release a valuable power increase comes from fitting our ‘thin wall’ Turbo 90 Inlet to replace the highly restrictive standard plastic MQB elbow. Compatible with all intake pipes and all factory turbos, and beautifully machined and gloss-anodised for a perfect, simple fitment.
TURBO MUFFLER DELETE (Optional)
A valuable part of your MQB car’s smooth breathing – replace the disruptive airflow of the stock part with our precisely-machined single-piece Turbo Muffler Delete. And, as a side benefit, you’ll get to hear your turbo working at last.
