Modern cars like the Golf 7 & 7.5 run a pretty stiff laser-welded bodyshell. Up front, the chassis is very rigid between the suspension tops, but at the rear there is much more chassis flex which negatively affects vehicle handling in hard use, especially with stiff suspension. That's why the Clubsport S Golf gets a factory rear brace.  The new RacingLine Rear Body Brace solves this issue by locking the crucial hard points together. The RacingLine Rear Body Brace uses solid billet aluminium mounts secured into beautiful, ultra-stiff carbon fibre link bars drastically stiffening the rear of the chassis. By reinforcing and tying the rear strut towers together, the brace helps to maintain proper suspension geometry under heavy cornering loads. Remove the bodyshell flex, and the suspension geometry can work as it was designed to do. Despite the added stiffness, this improved handling performance comes without sacrificing any ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The clever design means that installation is simple, using existing body mounting points with no drilling and no removal of trim required, and is completely reversible. Compatible with rear seats up or down (or removed altogether). The full interior can be maintained even with the installation of the Rear Body Brace. Our precision-engineered, Propshaft Bearing Alignment Kit centralises the factory centre support bearing carrier by cutting out the enlarged factory hole tolerances. Meaning your propshaft is held in perfect true orientation at all times. The oversize holes on the factory brackets are designed to allow several degrees of ‘twist’ on the centre bearing carrier, causing unnecessary long-term stresses on the prop, bushes and bearings. That may be great to help the factory with quick production-line assembly, but will lead to accelerated wear on the bush and rubber housing from misalignment. Every hard launch & shift provokes movement in the drivetrain – over time this risks shifting the factory prop mount out of alignment. This improves rigidity to help refine the handling, whilst also providing valuable extra clearance for larger diameter exhaust system. What do they do? MQB cars rely on thin stamped-steel OE tunnel braces underneath in an attempt to reinforce the body’s weaker points and limit chassis flex under demanding loads. Our new Billet Underbody Braces replace these weak braces with intricately machined aluminium replacements, greatly improving stiffness, giving much better exhaust clearance and even look great! CNC Machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 Aluminium, each brace has been engineered to remove unnecessary material whilst still increasing rigidity. With any 3″ diameter exhaust system, the OE brace gives insufficient clearance. So rather than removing the tunnel brace, our new Rear Tunnel Brace at last gives you the option to replace it, giving you the clearance you need plus maintaining crucial body stiffness.
