    Product Description With Forge Motorsport leading the way in aftermarket products for the Hyundai N division vehicles, we are proud to present our Turbo Inlet Adaptor and Intake Tract for the Hyundai i20N. The kit is a full plug and play solution, with a replacement cast turbo inlet adaptor, CNC machined hose couplers, and a silicone high flow inlet hose. Available in a choice of Black, Red, and Performance Blue, the TIA11 will not only increase your Hyundai’s performance, but it also transforms the look and aesthetics of your vehicle’s engine bay.   The size of the inlet elbow has increased by over 170% to maximise the amount of air that can physically flow to the turbo from the inlet tract. The OEM factory alloy cast elbow is small, so we knew that this would be the key component to target as tuners start to increase the boost levels and performance output of the 1.6l turbocharged combustion engine. As well as this, the plastic OEM inlet hose has ribs and steps within the bore, causing detrimental turbulence while disturbing and slowing the airflow. By removing the ribs and steps, the larger Forge Motorsport silicone turbo inlet hose reduces the amount of turbulence over the standard item, enabling better airflow. Why do we use silicone? In the development process we tested an oversized aluminium pipe and found that it started to show signs of heat soak, this had a detriment to the impressive initial power gains. We also found after the third pull on the Dyno, the alloy pipe conducted too much heat on this application and started to decrease the gains. When using silicone, heat cannot be conducted as well, therefore even after six pulls, the silicone hose stayed at a steady temperature and did not decrease the power whatsoever. The inlet pipe fits directly to the factory airbox along with our FMINDK45 performance intake solution. The turbo inlet adaptor improves your vehicles airflow in several ways; designed in a similar way to a conventional velocity stack, it routes the air directly into your turbo charger and allows more air to be compressed due to its larger capacity, this has a positive effect when accelerating your vehicle after long deceleration, or in-between gear changes, due to more air being kept within the intake system. Dyno Results Testing was completed using Performance Remap in Gloucester with their VTEC 4-wheel drive dynamometer, this was to ensure all our data is achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, peak power was increased from stock by nearly 7 BHP and 12NM of torque when mated to the OEM airbox and standard factory filter. The best news is that there are significant gains across the entire rev range, meaning that the car will pick up quicker and pull the whole way through to redline. TIA11 also benefits from a 17NM of power gain between 2500 RPM and 3000 rpm, this is right as the power comes in and can really change the feel and power delivery when behind the wheel. To compliment the turbo inlet, it can be matched to our induction kit FMINDK45. As you can see below this gave an increase of 12BHP and a torque increase of 20NM both at peak. These two products really do complement each other superbly both in conjunction, and as standalone modifications. After installing a tuning box, or re-calibrating the ECU with stage one or two tunes, the performance yields can be expected to be a lot higher than the figures stated.     Product Description The Forge Motorsport short shifter for the Hyundai i20N is an adjustable well engineered solution for those who want to reduce their vehicles gear shift throw. 3D Scan, CAD, and Print 3D scanning and 3D printed prototypes helped to develop the best solution for this short shifter. The most important part of the development for a short shifter is to ensure that the shift cables aren’t under further deflection than when connected to the OEM. The 3D Scans allowed us to locate the repositioned ball pin along the same plane as the OEM, and then the 3D print helped us to confirm our findings before taking the design to our in-house machine shop. As this is an adjustable short shifter, you can easily change shift length with a 16mm spanner. This creates a maximum reduction of over 33% per gear shift. The image below shows the difference between 1st gear when the shifter is in its OEM position and its shortest position with FMSS7 installed, as well as the shifter in situ.  This reduces shift times along with the chance of selecting the wrong gear, making it the ideal modification for track day and fast road driving.  The kit comes complete with everything you need for installation. Fitting can be carried out in around 1 hour and includes a set of instructions.

However, when looking at the OEM intercooler our development team were able to see that this will be a weak point for those owners looking to push more power or enjoy spirited driving and track days. Our development team started with what we learnt from the successful FMINT15 for the Hyundai MK3 i30N, as the 1.6 litre engine in the i20N shares the same design concept as the 2.0 litre in the i30N. We hand fabricated end tanks as a starting point to create a mock-up intercooler, allowing us to understand design parameters. This was then 3D scanned, allowing our development team to fine tune and produce the biggest core with the smoothest flowing end tank design for the available space. SolidWorks CAD and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was utilised to develop our high flow cast end tanks. This helped us to incorporate a turbo side internal divider to ensure the full volume of the stepped core is utilised for maximum cooling. With the design completed, we 3D printed the end tanks using our Formlabs Form 3L printer, to then test fit to the vehicle to sign off the new design. To complete the development, we had one-off sand-cast end tanks manufactured allowing us to test the design before manufacture was started on the Forge Motorsport performance intercooler. Our industry leading bar and plate core is an increase of 113% in volumetric capacity and an increase of frontal surface area of over 57% than the OEM intercooler/Heat exchanger. FMINT28 is the largest currently available on the market. The inlet and outlet sizes have both been increased in diameter, the hot side from 50mm to 60mm giving a volumetric increase of over 44% from the OEM intercooler, and the cold side from 50mm to 63mm giving a volumetric increase of over 59% from the OEM intercooler. Testing was completed using Performance Remap in Gloucester with their VTEC 4-wheel drive dynamometer. This was to ensure all our data has been achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, peak power was increased from stock by 11bhp and 43nm of torque with the Forge Motorsport performance intercooler installed. The best news is that there are significant gains across the entire rev range, meaning that the car will pick up quicker and pull the whole way through to redline, including up to 25bhp increase over stock at 4500rpm. To give consistent result which reflects real-world driving conditions, the dyno pulls were done with the car up to temperature with the radiator fans tripped on. With the OEM cooler two consecutive runs showed a maximum temperature of 44°C at 6747rpm. With FMINT28 installed we ran four consecutive runs, and the temperature didn’t rise to any more than 32°C at 6717rpm. This 12°C is a massive temperatire decrease of 32%. It’s also worth noting that the dyno cells ambient temperature rose from 24°C to 29°C between the test days so you may experience even better results. With this reduced intake air temperature (IAT), you will prevent the stock ECU from pulling out the engines timing which results in a loss of power. If you use a i20N for fast road or have a high-performance tune in a hot climate, this performance intercooler is essential.  This intercooler combined with our intake, and a quality aftermarket cat back exhaust with factory software will deliver you unparalleled levels of performance. The Forge Motorsport front mount intercooler has all the necessary hardware to install the kit in approximately 2.5 hours depending on competency and tools available. The Forge intercooler weighs 9.65kg compared to the OEM's 3.7kg

    The turbo muffler delete kit for the Hyundai I20N, this kit replaces the original restrictive compressor outlet with our smooth and turbulence free solution.  The OEM part is located on the outlet of the turbo compressor and its only function is to eliminate as much of the engines acoustics as possible.     Product Description FMINDK45 is the Forge cold air induction system for the Hyundai i20N. As with all manufacturers in recent times, the need to make smaller capacity engines more powerful with better efficiency, has been the engineer’s top priority. To achieve these goals, the designers have to maximise the space to its fullest, which inturn creates more of a challenge for the aftermarket manufacturers and tuners to improve what is already fitted to the vehicle. Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped us at Forge Motorsport! Even with plenty of expertise from past developments with previous Hyundai models, the i20N power unit needed an extensive amount of testing time to ensure that we ended up with a product that provided genuine improvements over the standard air box. The CAD designed, laser cut, and precision folded heat shield is designed to form a barrier between the air inlet tract and radiant heat from the engine. It also helps duct the cold air to the air filter, to help preserve low intake temperatures, which in-turn creates more power. Finished in our black textured powder coating, this creates a product with an OEM look and quality.   WHY DO WE TRY TO DECREASE IATS? Temperature and volume of air supplied to your vehicles engine that is compressed by the turbo charger, has a better effect on performance when cool, as this is to provide the engine with more oxygen (denser air), thus improving the combustion in each cylinder. In addition, by regulating and reducing the air temperature, it also increases the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFRs (Air Fuel Ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level; this in-turn, can increase an engines power due to the air being cooler. A bigger bang is then created within the cylinder, providing the correct amount of fuel is added. This can equate to an increase in BHP and torque. Manufactured in-house, and expertly welded together by our highly skilled craftsmen, this kit gives us the confidence to offer a lifetime warranty on all the hardware included. During dyno testing, we tried several filter configurations and settled to give the customer the choice between our polyurethane PRORAM pleated filter, or alternatively our foam option that has been exclusively manufactured by Pipercross, neither filter excelled over the other with results being almost identical throughout the rev range. Both the filters offered can be oiled by the end user to prevent extremely fine dust, found in very hot climates, entering the inlet tract. This will enable no detriment to the running of the engine, as the Hyundai’s 1.6L Turbo charged engine has no maf sensor housed after the filter.Testing was completed using Performance Remap in Gloucester with their VTEC 4 wheel drive dynamometer. This was to ensure all our data has been achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, the gains in torque and bhp can be seen through various points throughout the rev range. Torque is improved by 20NM at 2400RPM with 15NM from 3000RPM to 3800RPM , these are the crucial points in the rev range where true power increases can be felt by the driver and certainly making acceleration feel quicker. BHP is increased throughout the range with 7 BHP at 3700RPM and 6 BHP at 6400 RPM.
