Bringing a real sportscar look and feel in the braking department for demanding fast road use – all at an affordable price. All the power in the world is next to useless if your stock brakes aren’t up to it. Our new Stage 2 ‘EVO’ Monoblock Performance Brake Upgrade is an ultra-durable braking solution developed exclusively for fast-road and occasional-track VWG cars. We’ve developed these brakes for street use from our decades of motorsport experience, and, as you’d expect, they provide outstanding stopping power again and again. Yet all at an affordable price. Our lightweight Monoblock one-piece construction is usually reserved for the highest-specification motorsport kits, being vastly stiffer and lighter than the original calipers. The kit comes in at almost half the weight of the original for significant unsprung mass savings. The caliper, pads and bracket assembly weigh in at 4.4kg (9.7lb) vs 8.6kg (18.9lb) for the factory Golf 7R kit. A bigger, 345mm x 30mm ‘triple-grove’ single-piece disc (rotor) provides greater heat capacity, thus reducing the effect of fade.     K-SPORT brake kits are manufactured in a TUV/ISO 9001:2008 certified factory. The K-SPORT fitment range is class leading, with approximately 700 vehicle platforms being covered. In many cases K-SPORT offer a number of different front and rear kit options for each vehicle platform in their catalogue. The kit includes 2-piece disc assemblies. The disc friction rings feature directional, curved internal cooling vanes that flow far more air than the traditional straight vanes found in the majority of original equipment discs. This additional airflow results in cooler operating temperatures, reduced brake fade and improved disc life. The lightweight alluminium disc hats reduce weight, resulting in the large diameter disc assemblies often weighing less than the original equipment 1-piece cast-iron discs that they are replacing.   The calipers in the kit are lightweight aluminium 6-piston units. They are far more rigid than single or twin-piston OEM sliding caliper designs, resulting in less caliper flex and improved pedal feel. The calipers are designed around a pad profile that offers substantially more pad volume than most OEM pad profiles, resulting in improved pad wear life. In-depth testing is a key factor in the development of our products; our brake kits have been aggressively tested in a variety of conditions in both road and track scenarios to ensure they meet the constant high stress of track days, sprints and fast road driving. BRAKE PADS We supply our brake kit with Ferodo DS Performance Pads that offer a consistent pedal feel and fantastic braking performance both from cold and when hot. Combined with low wheel dusting, minimal noise characteristics, and low disc and pad wear rates this is the ideal pad compound for general road and track driving. BRAKE LINES Our brake kit is supplied with stainless lines; consisting of a PTFE inner and stainless steel braided outer to eliminate the spongy feel of original rubber hoses, provide superior resistance to corrosion, and offer consistent braking performance.
