EBC Uprated Brake Pads - Toyota Yaris GR

Description

YELLOWSTUFF

  • Ultimate street pads
  • Fit for both road and track use
  • Effective at high temperatures

EBC Brakes Yellowstuff compound is a high performance road pad that is also suitable for track use and works really well from cold.

If you want the ultimate in high friction braking, this is the pad to choose. Brakes feel superb from first touch of the pedal and stay effective right up to race temperatures.

EBC Brakes Yellowstuff is designed for faster, higher horsepower cars where maximum stopping power is the prime requirement as well as for track use. The dust rating is less than OEM parts. Where necessary, all pads come with edge chamfers, noise reduction shims and OEM hardware.

All EBC Brakes Yellowstuff pads feature the Brake-In surface coating which helps pads to seat quickly after installation.

BLUE STUFF

    • Bluestuff NDX is a high friction sport and race material that now has R90 approval on some fitments for the EU.
For USA and Asia markets where R90 does not apply, this compound is totally road safe
and the perfect choice for performance vehicles driven hard on the road or trackdays.

Bluestuff NDX is an intermediate grade trackday and race pad making it the material of choice for many club level racers and serious trackday enthusiasts. However, due to Bluestuff having excellent cold friction and being very controllable, this compound has quickly become the brake pad of choice for performance road car drivers in USA and Asia markets where R90 homologation does not apply. More recently, EBC are pleased to announce that Bluestuff has passed extensive road focused testing and gained R90 approval on some E.U. fitments, making it unique in being the first truly track focused pad which is also perfectly legal for use on the public roads across Europe. There is no requirement for E.U. customers to inform their insurance company following fitment of R90 approved pads.

For customers with experience of EBC’s widely acclaimed Yellowstuff material, Bluestuff boasts a similar friction profile but with a usefully higher friction coefficient across the now larger working range, feeling much like you’d imagine Yellowstuff to feel after a double hit of espresso. Bluestuff has a high friction coefficient without feeling grabby, taking things up a notch from EBC’s Yellowstuff material by bringing superb pedal modulation to a track pad with even greater fade resistance.

However, being a track focused material, customers may experience a noticeable increase in both brake dust and brake noise. As is often the case with friction materials, an increase in ultimate performance is often met by an increase in noise and dust.

For customers seeking the ultimate road/track pad with even greater levels of performance, check out EBC’s range of EBC Orangestuff grade full race pads which deliver faster bed in and higher temperature fade resistance.

As with all brake pads, selection involves a trade off with life and disc/rotor wear and EBC have chosen with both the Bluestuff and Orangestuff grade race pads to offer a pad that is the replaceable item rather than the disc or rotor. EBC’s track and race materials are exceptionally kind on brake discs, making them especially desirable for modern performance cars that feature complex and hugely expensive 2-piece brake disc systems from the factory. Customers report that EBC track and race pads are far kinder to brake discs than comparable granite like semi-metallic pads, which may last longer but take the rotors with them.

RP-1

EBC Racing RP1 Pad, DP82431RP1 (Rear) Toyota Yaris GR

RP-1™ FEATURES:
Made 100% in EBC Brakes’ Bristol, UK pad factory
Stainless steel backing plates (reduced heat conduction, no paint)
Backplates feature Nucap® NRS® hook pad retention system
Good pad life with excellent disc life
NOT R90 approved for road-use in European markets
‘Love it or Return it’ performance guarantee
RP-1™ Racing Brake Pads
EBC Brakes Racing’s dedicated motorsport pad RP-1™ pairs high-performance with unprecedented modulation and control, resulting in a track pad that feels uniquely different to the competition and allows drivers to extract every last tenth from each and every braking zone.

Designed for vehicles driven hard on track, RP-1™ possesses a moderately high friction level of 0.45 between 100 – 750°C. The more progressive response characteristic of RP-1™ makes it well suited for inherently ‘over-servoed’ vehicles where a softer pad material is desirable to allow greater finesse when on the brakes.

RP-1™ also works superbly when used with many competitor (non-EBC) Big Brake Kits, where the more progressive pad response helps to negate the over-servoed sensation often experienced after fitment of larger diameter brake discs and calipers with large piston displacements.

EBC Racing would like to emphasise that it is not a case of RP-1 being ‘less good’ than RP-X™, rather it is ‘different’ and designed to provide a distinctly different response characteristic (less aggressive bite) which some drivers may prefer. For a detailed comparison between the 2 materials, please read the following article where we aim to help you make an informed choice on which material is likely to work best for your application and individual driving style.
