Our kit has been designed in the UK after thorough research and huge experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars. With limited space, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler neatly behind the bumper where it could still benefit from a direct airflow, whilst integrating seamlessly with the car’s existing fixtures and fittings with no drilling or cutting required. As a result, we have developed a kit that is completely reversible if need be. The comprehensive package includes a tried and tested 13-row AIRTEC oil cooler, bespoke laser-cut and powder-coated AIRTEC bracket, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings, and all fixtures, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. To ensure the maximum amount of air flow, we recommend removing the near side fog light and/or installing the exit vent into the wheel arch liner to provide better flow. However, these are not essential and the oil cooler will still work fine using the bumper’s original intake slots. Its increased cooling efficiency and easy fitment makes it an essential modification for all modified FK8 Type R models. TECHNICAL DATA AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit for Mk7 Golf R   Following an extensive development process over the past year, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch its new oil cooler kit aimed at modified Golf R owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use.   Our kit has been designed in the UK after thorough research. The challenge was to integrate a large capacity, external oil-cooler, mounted behind the grille for direct airflow. This would replace the basic OEM oil heat-exchanger but would still integrate seamlessly by utilising the car’s original oil take-off fittings.   The comprehensive package we subsequently developed includes AIRTEC Motorsport’s CNC, billet take-off adapter, an AIRTEC oil cooler, a laser-cut oil cooler bracket, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings and all fixtures and fittings including instructions, for a bolt-on installation.   The kit has undergone extensive testing on race tracks throughout Europe to ensure engine running temperatures remain low and steady in a variety of different climates. With ST & RS Tuning being taken to new power levels, there is a real need for upgrading the oil cooler from standard, this Solid Billet alloy plate 'Base over 10mm thick' gives you flexibility in choosing your own oil cooler and position its going to be fitted. Fitting is  easy, remove old water cooled oil cooler and fit new AIRTEC oil cooler plate with existing bolts and install pipe joiner to the 2 x 16mm i.d. water pipes. Note, Alloy pipe Joiner available from options.
