All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. Press Release The latest vehicle to pass through the Cobra Sport exhaust development process is the VW Polo BlueGT 1.4 TSI. Having previously achieved impressive results from the 1.4 and 1.8 Polo GTI, we were keen to get the sporty 1.4 BlueGT model in for development to expand our Polo range. The Cobra Sport team were able to reduce the weight of the exhaust system by an impressive 41% over the OEM system with the resonated 2.5in (63.5mm) bore cat back system weighing in at only 9.52kg compared to the original 16.20kg. The new systems benefit from all of the usual Cobra Sport refinements with mandrel bent, TIG welded, grade 304 stainless steel used throughout the systems as standard. You can therefore be assured of only the best quality in a Cobra Sport system. Matt Thomas, Sales Manager at Cobra Sport says "The new Cobra Sport systems greatly improve the exhaust pitch and tone and add the sporty edge which was missing from the factory system. The non resonated cat back system offers the biggest sound upgrade offering an increase of 7db over the standard system in the 3,800 rpm static test. We also offer a resonated cat back exhaust upgrade which has been designed to provide a purposeful but unobtrusive pitch perfect sound quality which in no way interferes with day-to-day drivability" The styling of the system is finished off with a choice of twin 3in/76.2mm and 3.25in/82.55mm tailpipes in a highly polished T304 stainless steel finish. These options include a less obtrusive oval slash cut version which further compliments the BlueGT aesthetics.

This improvements in flow dramatically reduces the effects of torque dip experienced by many GT86 owners and is optimised for further power increases through engine tuning. During testing, the GT86 passed the MOT emissions test with the Cobra Sport manifold fitted as long as either the standard cat or Cobra Sport high flow catalyst is in place. The Cobra Sport GT86 manifold produces a deeper more aggressive exhaust tone. The acoustics of the de-cat manifold have been finely tuned to complement the tone of the extended Cobra Sport range for the GT86 offering the ultimate upgrade in terms of possible power increase and pitch perfect exhaust tone. Our fully tuned version was given an inter cooler, induction kit and re-map, together with a Cobra Sport Turbo Back non-resonated exhaust upgrade with high-flow catalyst. On testing the Fabia achieved a 50.3bhp increase in power taking it to 227.3bhp from its original 177bhp starting point. Similar increases were achieved with torque, which increased from 184lb-ft to a whopping 227.5lb-ft. Mass was reduced considerably providing a weight saving of almost 37% in comparison to its OE counterpart. All in all these are certainly impressive results for this little car. Styling options consist of standout twin 3̢‰âÂå� tailpipes in various designs, including the less obtrusive slash cut versions which compliments the Fabia aesthetics nicely. The exhaust upgrade provides a purposeful but unobtrusive sound quality which in no way interferes with day-to-day drivability.
