Product Description FMINDK45 is the Forge cold air induction system for the Hyundai i20N. As with all manufacturers in recent times, the need to make smaller capacity engines more powerful with better efficiency, has been the engineer’s top priority. To achieve these goals, the designers have to maximise the space to its fullest, which inturn creates more of a challenge for the aftermarket manufacturers and tuners to improve what is already fitted to the vehicle. Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped us at Forge Motorsport! Even with plenty of expertise from past developments with previous Hyundai models, the i20N power unit needed an extensive amount of testing time to ensure that we ended up with a product that provided genuine improvements over the standard air box. The CAD designed, laser cut, and precision folded heat shield is designed to form a barrier between the air inlet tract and radiant heat from the engine. It also helps duct the cold air to the air filter, to help preserve low intake temperatures, which in-turn creates more power. Finished in our black textured powder coating, this creates a product with an OEM look and quality.   WHY DO WE TRY TO DECREASE IATS? Temperature and volume of air supplied to your vehicles engine that is compressed by the turbo charger, has a better effect on performance when cool, as this is to provide the engine with more oxygen (denser air), thus improving the combustion in each cylinder. In addition, by regulating and reducing the air temperature, it also increases the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFRs (Air Fuel Ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level; this in-turn, can increase an engines power due to the air being cooler. A bigger bang is then created within the cylinder, providing the correct amount of fuel is added. This can equate to an increase in BHP and torque. Manufactured in-house, and expertly welded together by our highly skilled craftsmen, this kit gives us the confidence to offer a lifetime warranty on all the hardware included. During dyno testing, we tried several filter configurations and settled to give the customer the choice between our polyurethane PRORAM pleated filter, or alternatively our foam option that has been exclusively manufactured by Pipercross, neither filter excelled over the other with results being almost identical throughout the rev range. Both the filters offered can be oiled by the end user to prevent extremely fine dust, found in very hot climates, entering the inlet tract. This will enable no detriment to the running of the engine, as the Hyundai’s 1.6L Turbo charged engine has no maf sensor housed after the filter.Testing was completed using Performance Remap in Gloucester with their VTEC 4 wheel drive dynamometer. This was to ensure all our data has been achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, the gains in torque and bhp can be seen through various points throughout the rev range. Torque is improved by 20NM at 2400RPM with 15NM from 3000RPM to 3800RPM , these are the crucial points in the rev range where true power increases can be felt by the driver and certainly making acceleration feel quicker. BHP is increased throughout the range with 7 BHP at 3700RPM and 6 BHP at 6400 RPM. This equates to more bhp being held from 5400RPM to the Rev limiter.  We also tested our high flow inlet tract, FMTIA11 (coming soon) with incorporated turbo elbow which on vehicles with a tuning box or software recalibration will enhance the turbos acoustics along while adding more mid-range torque and peak BHP figures.     IN THE BOX x1 Aluminium joinerx1 Aluminium heat shield with rubber stripx1 Foam or Pleated air filter with hoseclamp (depending on selection)x1 M6 penny washerx1 M6 x12 hex head bolt

Product Description After discussions with many GR Yaris owners about airbox modifications, Forge Motorsport are proud to release the Toyota Yaris GR Inlet Duct. The Forge inlet duct allows you to add an aesthetically pleasing carbon fibre part to your Yaris GR’s engine bay and help keep your inlet temperatures down during spirited driving and whilst on the track or rally stage.    By utilising 3D scans and SolidWorks CAD, our development team have been able to optimise the size of the inlet duct, creating an increase in uninterrupted cold air to be scooped into the stock airbox. 3D printed test parts were used alongside CAD simulation to ensure the optimum size and geometry. This inlet duct performance car part is much larger than stock with a close fit to the front bumper and airbox to ensure that the heat from the engine causes minimal effect. During testing on track days, the original duct caused inlet air temperatures to be heavily influenced by heat soak and fluctuated dramatically. Meanwhile the Forge inlet duct kept the inlet air temperatures not only reduced but at a more consistent temperature. A reduced consistent temperature is of great importance because any high temperature peaks will cause the ECU to retard the ignition and reduce the power you have available. The Forge inlet duct design incorporates a free-flowing path to both the upper and lower opening of the airbox, whereas the stock design has no flow management to the lower opening and the upper is small and not fully sealed. It is worth understanding that the lower opening is of far greater importance to the performance of your Yaris GR. There is a vacuum operated flap which is activated when under full throttle conditions, therefore the Forge Motorsport Inlet Duct ensures that your Yaris is getting colder directed air when the engine needs it the most. Data was collated and logged live by a passenger on a track day running in conjunction with an aftermarket intercooler on a 5 lap open pit session back to back against the stock inlet scoop (another 5 lap session). Inlet air temps had been reduced from 42°C to between 35 and 36°C. We even saw temperatures of up to 45°C on the stock duct. Fluctuation between temperatures on the stock inlet duct were greatly improved when air was fed to the secondary inlet scoop via the composite Forge Motorsport inlet feed. Product Description This Forge intake kit is for the VW Up 1.0 TSI and GTI This intake kit includes a bespoke aluminium housing, powder coated black for that OEM look and for a hard wearing finish. This has a dual purpose of protecting the filter from heat soak, With the engine bay on the VW Up being so compact, the development team were hugely restricted in finding a suitable location for an aftermarket induction kit. After lots of testing and different locations explored, we felt this induction kit is most suited to the VW Up, both for performance and aesthetics. This helps to aid the engines performance and air flow in several ways. Designed in a similar way to a conventional velocity stack, it routes the air more directly into your turbo charger and allows more air than the stock inlet tract to be compressed due to its larger capacity. This can have a positive effect on accelerating your vehicle after long deceleration or between gear changes as more air is being kept within the intake system. The Forge developed inlet tract has more than a 50% increase in volume with the area at the mouth of the turbo increased to 46%. This, combined with no internal baffles or noise restrictors gives a helping hand to the vehicles acoustic notes and throttle response. With the use of Solidworks®, our CAD engineers have designed the heat shroud to fit round all the contours of the engine bay. This shroud combined with our specially formulated thermal coatings protects the intake from radiant heat while also guiding the cold air from the OE cold air ducting to the filter and housing. All of the billet components supplied have been made from 6082 Alloy and then anodised to ensure the alloy has no fatigue and stays without corrosion for years to come. This intake is designed for LHD vehicles and will NOT fit the RHD version. For the RHD, see here. After the success of our Intake system for the RHD Suzuki swift Sport (ZC33S), due to popular demand we wanted to give LHD swift owners an equivalent aftermarket intake filtration system. Several months of testing have been spent developing a kit with all the same qualities of our FMINDK29 kit which are: Increase power and torque output Improve the sound characteristics of the engine note Improve the visual impact of the engine bay During our testing, we found that the location of the original air box was susceptible to a vast amount of heat soak, which lead us to relocate the location of where the air filter/airbox should be located in the engine bay. After extensive testing, we found that our carbon fibre canister filters worked the best. The filter element itself is provided by Pipercross, and is fully serviceable or replaceable if necessary. The pipe work of the kit runs around the cold side of the engine, this again is to keep intake temperatures down as low as possible. In total, we observed intake temperatures fall from 32°C down to 26°C. These numbers will come down further still with the addition of our intercooler upgrade.  Utilizing the superb 100% carbon fibre cannister and Forge High Flow filter we unleashed an impressive 6bhp increase on independent dyno testing. The design of this kit has also introduced some excitement to the driving experience with a subtle yet characterful induction roar when on harder acceleration.     You will be very happy with the visual impact with the kit upon opening the bonnet. Every part of the kit from the handmade aluminium hard pipe to the bespoke silicon hose and the carbon fibre filter both look and feel high quality - quite simply, because they are! This intake is designed for RHD vehicles and will NOT fit the LHD version. For the LHD, see here. Forge are excited to present our Hi flow intake system for the Suzuki Swift Sport. Many months and man hours of development have gone into this product to achieve our three main objectives: Increase power and torque output Improve the sound characteristics of the engine note Improve the visual impact of the engine bay During our testing, we found that the location of the original air box was susceptible to a vast amount of heat soak. This is because the airbox air feed is placed directly above a very hot source of heat - the radiator. This led us to design and relocate where the air filter/airbox is housed in the engine bay. The Forge cold air intake system now cleverly draws air from within the Suzuki Swifts front bumper keeping the intake temperatures extra cool in any climate. After extensive testing, we found that our carbon fibre canister filters worked the best. The filter element itself is provided by Pipercross, and is fully serviceable or replaceable if necessary. The pipe work of the kit runs around the cold side of the engine and away from the engines turbo manifold; this again is to keep intake temperatures down as low as possible. In total, we observed intake temperatures fall from 39°C down to 26°C. These numbers will come down further still with the addition of our intercooler upgrade.  The Forge High Flow airbox produced an impressive increase of over 8BHP at 5500RPM and a gain of toruqe throughout the entire rev range on independent dyno testing. The design of this kit has also introduced some excitement to the driving experience with a subtle yet characterful induction roar when on harder acceleration.       You will be very happy with the visual impact of the kit upon opening the bonnet. Every part of the kit from the handmade aluminium hard pipe to the bespoke silicone hose and the carbon fibre filter both look and feel high quality - quite simply, because they are!   The kit comes complete with everything you need for installation, which can be carried out in around 40 minutes, including a set of full colour instructions.
