Following an extensive development process, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch its new oil cooler kit aimed at modified Fiat 500/595/695 Abarth owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use. Our kit has been designed in the UK after thorough research and huge experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars. The challenge with this kit was to locate an external oil cooler in the small space available from where the original intercooler set up was positioned, whilst integrating seamlessly with the car’s existing fixtures and fittings to ensure no drilling or cutting was required. As a result, we have developed a kit that is completely reversible if need be. Using sophisticated data logging software, we measured stock intake temperatures at 44°c. With MVT, intake temperatures dropped by more than 38% down to 27°c. As a result, providing huge tuning potential and greater reliability when combined with a remap & supporting modifications. The perfect addition to any track or modified road car! We also went one step further by placing temperature probes into the inlet and outlet of the Intercooler. This allows us to accurately compare the difference in temperatures as the charged air passes though the core. Data for the stock intercooler showed us charged air temperatures dropped from 209.4°c(inlet) to 63.8°c(outlet). However, this figure was reduced down to 29.3°c(outlet) that’s a 54% drop thanks to the efficiency of our MVT Intercooler. This new Fiat/Abarth 500 / 595 / 695 Performance clutch kit by RTS Europe promises big things. The unique design combines a twin purpose friction plate utilising both organic and paddle designs with a retracting strap plate clutch assembly. RTS unique “Twin Friction” (drive plate) has been developed using a unique flywheel side friction material whilst adopting a segmented pressure plate face. The aramid friction exhibits 50% less wear than a conventional drive plate friction material.This material also reduces the effects of fade. Fade is the decline in the clutch system’s ability to transmit torque as operating temperatures increases. These features in combination with the previously mentioned micro-structure of spheroidal casting and ER2 technology allows the clutch kit to dissipate heat far more effectively, allowing the clutch to run cooler for longer.
