These Audi S5 performance exhausts are made in 2.5"/63.5mm pipework and fit from the catalytic converter section backwards (Cat-back) these exhausts replace the centre and rear sections. The resonated exhaust option includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This exhaust however, is also available as a non-resonated version (excluding the centre silencer) which is a louder optionåÊas it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note. All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. After testing the car both with the OE system and a range of our upgrades, I feel that the Cobra Sport system delivers a smoother more responsive drive and gives the car more of a performance edge with a sound track to match. The unbelievable sound quality is pitch perfect for this engine and when under full load the exhaust system really comes to life with an aggressive tone. Under part throttle or idle the volume is both subtle, and sporty, therefore is also suited to daily driving. Great sound comes as standard with Cobra Sport! This is backed up by our sound testing where the Cobra Sport systems were quieter at idle (-1db) but during the stationary test at 4,000 rpm the volume of the non resonated cat back system increased by +15.7db to 67.2db. The bore size of the mandrel bent T304 stainless steel pipework has been increased by 0.25" to 2.5" (63.5mm) to allow for smoother gas flow. Matched with the upgraded resonators and rear box, the Cobra Sport cat back system weighs in at 32.14kg. Power testing of the completed Cobra Sport cat back system on the rolling road revealed an impressive +7.3bhp increase in power along with an 8.2 lb-ft increase in torque. The systems come with Cobra Sport's own unique quad tailpipe selection all designed to fit neatly within the S5's showcase rear diffuser. Tailpipes choices consist of a 3.5" twin slash cut & angled or a 3.5" twin inverted slash cut & angled version.

Press Release Keen to build upon the success of their existing cat back exhaust systems for the Audi S5, Cobra Sport were keen to offer a dual rear box exhaust system which will fit both the coupe and cabriolet models. The new system improves the exhaust tone through subtly changes to the pitch and tone whilst upgrading the styling featuring quad exhaust tips which fit perfectly with the S5 rear diffuser. Due to the additional strengthening on the cabriolet chassis, the Cobra Sport cat back exhaust systems are only available for the S5 coupe. Keen to offer a system for all Audi S5 models, the Cobra Sport research and development team have created a system that replaces only the rear section of the exhaust manufactured in mandrel bent 2.5" (63.5mm) pipework. Matched with twin rear boxes, the Cobra Sport system fit directly to the existing pipework and is finished with a choice of highly polished 3.5" tailpipes. Cobra Sport were keen to make the most of the beautiful tone produced by the 3.0 TFSI engine. The completed Cobra Sport system, although minimal in size produces a beautifully improved exhaust tone with a slightly deeper pitch. During the 4,000 rpm static sound test the replacement rear section increased sound levels by +4.6db to record 75.5db on the sound meter. This subtle upgrade is further demonstrated by a similar +4.5db increase in sound levels when idle. The Cobra Sport systems also offer an impressive 1.66kg weight saving over the standard system weighing in at only 12.34kg. The styling of the system is finished off with a choice of subtle twin 3.5" (88.9mm) slash-cut tailpipes both finished in highly polished T304 stainless steel.
