The results speak for themselves and certainly boost the car’s credentials. Our fully tuned version was given an inter cooler, induction kit and re-map, together with a Cobra Sport Turbo Back non-resonated exhaust upgrade with high-flow catalyst. On testing the Polo achieved a 50.3bhp increase in power taking it to 227.3bhp from its original 177bhp starting point. Similar increases were achieved with torque, which increased from 184lb-ft to a whopping 227.5lb-ft. Mass was reduced considerably providing a weight saving of almost 37% in comparison to its OE counterpart. All in all these are certainly impressive results for this little car. Styling options consist of standout twin 3” tailpipes in various designs, including the less obtrusive slash cut versions which compliments the VW aesthetics nicely. The exhaust upgrade provides a purposeful but unobtrusive sound quality which in no way interferes with day-to-day driveability. Engineering perfection is a given with all Cobra Sport exhausts, mandrel bends ensure an even curvature throughout and hand finishing of each individual system using advanced stainless steel TIG welding techniques providing assured quality in every exhaust.
