This Silicone Inlet Hose for the Renault Megane RS250/265/275 is available in red, blue, or black, and is the perfect compliment to the other hoses we produce for this particular vehicle.  As always, we have engineered this to not only look good, but to improve on the original fitment.    The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Fluorosilicone. This means the hoses are suitable to be used with  either modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (O.A.T.) or air containing oil mist. With the known deficiency of the RS250/265/275 Radiator in hot climate conditions, we were asked to develop a front mounting intercooler with a minimum air flow restriction to the OEM radiator, but also one that shows a significant improvement in the cooling compared with the original intercooler. Through the use of a high efficiency intercooler core and changing the airflow characteristics with frontal ducting, we have created the perfect solution. Test results show not only a gain of 12 bhp, but also show the + 10 ft/lbs of torque that has been gained across the rev range. This is really felt when driving the car, along with the fact that the power is available for longer as the revs increase. Of course if you are experiencing extreme temperatures or are after the ultimate solution to hot climate running, we recommend using our uprated radiator FMRADRS250 in combination with this intercooler.   Quoted performance figures are from tests carried out in a standard and stage 1 tuned engines with standard turbo fitted. An all alloy radiator for the Megane RS250/265/275. With the known coolant temperature issues that are attributed to the original fitment radiator, this is the only real solution. The stock Renault radiator has a major design flaw in that the inlet and outlet are in a straight line across the core. At high engine rpm, when you need the most cooling, the maximum flow is straight across the core, missing out about 75% of the volume. Worse still, the 25% of the core with good flow is directly behind the crash bar and gets no direct airflow. Our engineers have maximised the surface area and utilised a high efficiency radiator core with a unique flow enhancement, to ensure that the coolant passes evenly across the entire core, and that the area of restricted airflow (behind the crash bumper) is taken into account.
