These features enhance charge air cooling giving you access to more power throughout the rev range. The limitations of the stock intercooler were apparent throughout testing. The stock part consistently struggled to manage charge air temperatures, even under normal driving conditions. The Revo Intercooler has been designed to improve on every restrictive element of the stock cooler, enhancing cooling efficiency by lowering intake air temperatures even compared to the Audi S3 (8P) cast aluminium intercooler, allowing you to drive harder, for longer. Designed from the ground up, the Revo Intercooler has a much larger core volume than the OEM part and offers perfect fitment, improving cooling by utilising the full volume of the stock location space as well as cold ambient air from the front of the vehicle. END TANK DESIGN End tanks play an important part in managing pressure drop and work in harmony with the core to promote airflow, the stock ones are inefficiently designed and create turbulent air in corners. These sections create a naturally small cross-sectional flow area, slowing charge air and increasing pressure drop. The Revo end tank geometry maintains the largest possible cross-sectional flow area to and from the core by removing these turbulent pocket areas found in the OE design. Coupled with a cast interior surface finish, the Revo end tanks allow air to flow freely without obstructions from turbulent air pockets found in the OE intercooler. End tanks play an important part in maintaining pressure and work in harmony with the core to promote airflow, the Revo end tanks are designed to offer the optimal balance between both of these key features.   BAR AND PLATE CORE Designed with a bar and plate core to maximise the efficiency of heat transfer and minimise flow resistance, the Revo Intercooler easily outperforms similar tube and fin alternatives in both aspects. The Revo Intercooler goes a step farther: featuring carefully specified fin sizing and geometry to further optimise the balance between air cooling and flow restriction. The ambient core side utilises shorter fins with specially designed louvres to slow ambient air passing through the core, which improves heat transfer. While the charge core side features an offset internal fin design to balance surface area and air resistance to aid cooling ability and minimise pressure drop.   SILICONE HOSES Supplied with stronger oil resistant silicone hoses, the Revo Intercooler can be installed using the stock pipework or recommended Revo Intercooler pipework (Coming soon). The internal diameter of each silicone is precisely matched to the inner diameter of the ribbed intercooler inlet and outlet connections along with a unique Flush Fit design, allowing a smooth transition between components.   BRACKETS To ensures precision fitment, Only Revo offers a CNC machined bracket system. Produced to a superior tolerance than that of a cast mounting system, this unique feature also ensures that the supporting brackets are strong and less prone to failure.   RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house using the latest 3D printing technology, CAD and CFD software. Every product is rigorously tested utilising an in-house dyno and Revo data acquisition software. The Revo intercooler minimises turbulence while maximising heat transfer, promoting cooler air temperatures and low-pressure drop. This helps retains power and torque throughout of the rev range as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. The Revo Intercooler was tested in-house to compare the performance against that of the stock Intercooler. First tested on a vehicle running the OE S3 (8P) intercooler with a Revo K04 Kit, Revo production KO4 software, a Revo air intake system and full Eurojet exhaust, the Revo Intercooler was then installed and tested in the same controlled environment to highlight the benefits of it's enhanced cooling. PERFORMANCE DATA Golf GTI TSI EA888 Gen1 with Revo K04 upgrade, OE S3 (8P) intercooler and Revo open cone air intake system and full Eurojet exhaust. Showing the last of five consecutive dyno runs, the efficiency of the Revo Intercooler over the OE S3 intercooler is highlighted. With max gains of +8 HP & +11NM Torque, along with increased performance throughout the entire rev range, the stock intercooler struggles to effectively function in comparison to the Revo Intercooler which remained consistent throughout, losing no peak power over the 5 runs. INLET TEMPERATURE This is a metric used to confirm that testing on the Revo Intercooler. This is used to show that the air temperatures going into the intercooler were similar for each test, confirming that outlet temperatures shown in the following graphs are purely down to differences in intercooler design/construction. As can be seen, the inlet temperatures during testing were equal between both coolers, yet the Revo intercooler produced the lower outlet temps proving the cooling efficiency advantage. OUTLET TEMPERETURE This graph illustrates the increased cooling performance of the Revo intercooler vs OEM S3 (8P) aluminium intercooler over all five runs.     The VTA is a performance blow-off valve solution for Audi, VW, Skoda and SEAT vehicles with an electronic factory diverter valve. If you want sound with your performance (or performance with your sound!), GFB’s VTA delivers just that! By combining the proven performance benefits of our ground-breaking DV+ with atmosphere venting, the VTA delivers an aggressive blow-off sound, improved throttle response and boost recovery, as well as superior boost holding and reliability in extreme conditions. The VTA shares the successful DV+ design philosophy: “Keep what works, replace what doesn’t” This means we retain ECU control and the solenoid from the factory diverter to ensure the fastest possible response time, without the added and unnecessary cost of replacing the solenoid like some brands do. The weak part of the factory diverter has always been the plastic valve mechanism – this is the part we replace. The VTA features CNC machined billet components that last a lifetime, and we also change the valve operation method for better performance. The factory diverter valve can only operate in two states – open, or closed. When it opens fully at low boost, or during a partial throttle lift mid-corner, it causes increased lag and a noticeably non-linear boost transition. GFB pioneered the use of “pilot operation” in the DV+, which works by repurposing the factory solenoid to control the pressure behind the piston rather than the piston itself. This allows the solenoid stroke to be much shorter, speeding up the response time and increasing the actuation force. More importantly, it allows the piston to open and close progressively in response to the amount of boost pressure present, which smooths boost transitions and reduces the lag caused by the factory diverter valve. It is this design philosophy that makes the VTA not only the best performing blow off valve solution, but also the best value on the market.   VTA or DV+?Depends if you want sound or not. Both valves are constructed with the same quality materials and valve mechanism, and both offer the same performance and reliability benefits. However, the VTA vents to atmosphere for sound whilst the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Why choose a VTA over a “BOV spacer”?“BOV spacers” are cheap and they make sound. But that’s it. All the inherent performance and reliability issues you get with the factory diverter valve remain, because a spacer doesn’t change the diverter valve in any way. The VTA improves the operation of the diverter valve for sound AND performance. Why choose a VTA over a kit that includes a solenoid?Because there’s no performance benefit to replacing the factory solenoid, only a much higher price! If a VTA with the factory solenoid can open in a couple of hundredths of a second, why pay more than you need to?       VTA BLOW-OFF VALVES ARE CONSTRUCTED WITH THE SAME MATERIALS AND VALVE MECHANISM AS THE DV+, AND THEY OFFER THE EXACT SAME PERFORMANCE AND BOOST HOLDING. HOWEVER, VENTING TO ATMOSPHERE GIVES IT THE SIGNATURE BLOW-OFF SOUND, WHILST THE DV+ KEEPS THINGS QUIET. COMPETITORS' PRODUCTS FOR THE SAME VEHICLES THAT MAKE SOUND (I.E. BOV "SPACERS") TYPICALLY RETAIN THE PERFORMANCE DEFICIENCIES OF THE FACTORY DIVERTER VALVE, DELETE THE ECU CONTROL, OR REQUIRE FREQUENT MAINTENANCE AND REBUILDS. THE VTA ON THE OTHER HAND IS THE COMPLETE PACKAGE - PERFORMANCE, FIT, RELIABILITY, AND SOUND! Like the DV+, GFB’s VTA range of BOVs utilise GFB’s proven TMS Technology to ensure rapid boost recovery on gearshift and optimum throttle response, as well as superior boost holding. However, where the DV+ and the VTA range differ is what they do with the vented air. VTA BOVs vent to atmosphere to make the signature turbo blow-off sound, where the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Each valve in the VTA range is designed specifically for the applications we list them for, ensuring the best fit and performance. Most of the VTA range are designed for use on cars with solenoid type factory diverter valves, and in those cases the VTA kit will retain the solenoid and ECU control. Like the DV+ though, it replaces the weak factory valve internals to ensure strength and reliability, especially in high boost applications. Other versions of the VTA are designed for use on cars that do not have any kind of factory fitted diverter valve. Vehicle manufacturers have deleted the troublesome solenoid type diverter valve from some of the newer models, but this leads to turbo compressor surge which can be taxing on the turbo in the long run. The VTA valves for these cars are designed to re-introduce the function of a diverter/blow-off valve to help protect the turbo in the long term and provide a blow-off sound.

Because, compared to paper or other filter technologies, reticulated polyester foam achieves optimum performance against three key criteria: Maximum airflow: the ability to allow air to pass through without causing a large pressure drop. Cleaning efficiency: the capability to arrest a high proportion of airborne dust while feeding the engine clean air. Dust load-up tolerance: the capability to absorb a large amount of dust without reducing air flow capacity. This design of filter has been used in all fields of motorsport from Formula 1 to the World Rally Championship. The range receives this same attention to detail at the design stage and is then taken into production with consummate quality.   THREE LAYER FOAM SYSTEM Revo ProPanel Filters use multi-layered foam technology to trap dust and dirt while maintaining flow efficiency over time. Using foam increases the filter's surface area and is washable, compared to standard paper and cotton filters which trap dust on the surface and become less efficient the more they are used, choking the engine and reducing performance. The outer core is a coarse foam designed to trap larger particles, the second layer is a medium foam designed to trap most particles and the inner core is fine foam which will trap any particles small enough to reach it. The triple layer foam design ensures an exceptional level of engine protection and long-term performance advantage.     1: Stainless steel wire mesh To avoid erosion, only the highest quality steel is used.   2: Course outer layer:  Stops large pieces of dirt and foreign matter from penetrating further.
