This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for, or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stronger spring upon request for tuned vehicles, and where a higher boost level is required. Please contact us directly concerning this process. It is designed and built with the intention of increasing the boost output of a turbocharged system. Boost Tap for Ford Focust ST 180 (Mk7). This adaptor plate installs between the boost (MAP) sensor and mounting surface.  This allows a tap to run a vacuum operated valve or for connection to a boost gauge. This Forge Motorsport mandrel bent aluminium pipe replaces the original Ford plastic pipe between the intake and turbo inlet at the rear of the engine bay. Not only does it lift the appearance of the engine bay, it also smooths out the airflow and has an increased diameter to maximise the volume of air being forced into the engine to aid extra performance, throttle response, and sound. This inlet pipe for the Ford Fiesta ST180 fits between the air filter and turbo inlet pipe and is a highly visible component of the engine bay, accordingly its available in red, blue and black. Its fully compatible with either the stock filter box or the Forge Motorsport ST180 intake  Unlike the stock Ford hose, this inlet hose maintains a constant internal diameter to ensure a smooth flow of air to the turbo, which owners have commented makes the car more lively to drive.  Our High grip hose clamps are included with this product. The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Fluorosilicone. This means the hoses are suitable to be used with  either modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (O.A.T.) or air containing oil mist. The Forge Motorsport intake system for the Ford Fiesta ST180 features a large diameter Pipercross pleated filter for superior filtration and enhanced breathing for the engine – but also featuring a larger surface area than the stock filter and many competitors. The MAF housing is CNC machined in our Gloucester machine shop and gently tapered internally so as to ensure maximum flow whilst emulating the stock configuration to eliminate the possibility of any engine check lights. We also provide a laser cut and powder coated aluminium shield which sits under the filter and directs air around the filter that enters the bay through the bonnet slam panel. During testing we have achieved gains of up to 11bhp when installed in conjunction with an engine remap, which is generally needed in order to make the most of the improved airflow. This filter kit can also be installed in conjunction with the Forge Motorsport inlet pipe, which is sold separately.
