This is usually due to the fact that the sensor is reading the added exhaust gas flow and it could identify this as a fault. Constructed from 63.5mm / 2.5" T304 stainless steel pipework, the resonator delete pipe has been designed to improve the soundtrack of the Golf R (non-GPF model) without replacing the entire cat-back system. This low cost upgrade requires the OE cat-back to be cut. The Scorpion part then replaces the original centre silencer. Valved - which uses the original motor and can be operated by the driver with the drive mode select button inside the car. There is also a non-valved which deletes the valve completely for a continuous sportier tone. Our system once fitted gives the car a measurable reduction in weight when compared to the OE system this is an improvement most drivers will find hard to rebuff. When applicable Scorpion systems are fitted with an acoustically developed silencer to ensure zero drone throughout the rev range.
