This design has been used to maximise rigidity, pedal feel and overall braking performance. The caliper incorporates a progressive six piston setup to give great brake balance, and high quality seals increasing resilience to road salts and other corrosive elements. DISCS We use a two-piece floating disc and hat design to efficiently dissipate heat. The friction surface features crescent groves designed to increase bite and remove debris from the pad surface giving the perfect balance between brake feel and longevity. The discs feature internal cooling vanes that draw air from the center of the disc outward to maximise heat dissipation and minimise heat transfer to the calipers, pads, and brake fluid, which plays an all important part in providing consistent stopping power for your vehicle. BRAKE PADS We supply our brake kit with Ferodo DS Performance Pads that offer a consistent pedal feel and fantastic braking performance both from cold and when hot. Combined with low wheel dusting, minimal noise characteristics, and low disc and pad wear rates this is the ideal pad compound for general road and track driving. BRAKE LINES Our brake kit is supplied with stainless lines; consisting of a PTFE inner and stainless steel braided outer to eliminate the spongy feel of original rubber hoses, provide superior resistance to corrosion, and offer consistent braking performance. BRAKE FLUID Our brakes are supplied with Motul Dot 5.1 brake fluid; specifically designed for brakes systems with ABS. This is a long life synthetic brake fluid with superior boiling point qualities to conventional Dot 3 and 4 spec. fluids. REVO CARBON SERIES - AIR BOX LID The Revo Carbon Lid and turbo inlet hose have been designed and engineered to directly replace the stock airbox lid, pipe and elbow found in vehicles with the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines with an IHI turbo. The Revo Carbon Lid offers a high-quality replacement, with its contoured design it not only just aesthetically pleasing but designed to improve airflow and performance of your vehicle. Designed to replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range. TURBO INLET The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The billet aluminium piece securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components ensures smooth and linear airflow transition between elements, providing uninterrupted airflow and removing any unnecessary turbulence.     RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed and rigorously tested in-house utilising 3D printed prototypes, latest CAD and CFD programs, 4 wheel hub dyno and Revo developed data acquisition software. Overview The Revo Carbon Air Scoop is designed to work in harmony with Revo software to unleash the maximum potential from your engine. Flow testing of the OEM intake emphasised the restrictions in the system, giving the Revo engineers a clear indication of what needed improving. The stock front panel used to direct air to the airbox, the standard air filter and convolutions in the rear pipe from the airbox to turbo were found to be the main ‘choking points’ in the system. The Revo system is a direct replacement kit and includes a beautiful carbon front panel, designed to direct cold air directly to the OEM airbox utilising an internal fin, along with the second feed of cold air into the engine bay to help keep ambient temperatures lower. A coolant relocation hose is also included. A high gloss carbon finish coupled with impressive performance benefits offers a product that delivers in form and function, looking great in the engine bay yet still performing above and beyond the OEM part.   RELOCATION HOSE The Revo Coolant Relocation Hose offers a high-quality single piece replacement for the OEM part which redirects the hose under the front air scoop to give a more aesthetically pleasing look.   TESTING MORE AIR, LESS RESTRICTION Testing was carried out with consistent conditions on both the OEM intake and the Revo Carbon Air Scoop with ProPanel filter, replacement silicone hose, and stock turbo inlet elbow. The graphs below were produced with products fitted to a vehicle and also in a standalone test off the car. The Revo system was tested on a flow bench to highlight the efficiency of the kit in allowing more air to reach the turbo, quickly and with less restriction. The OEM system reached its maximum potential of 440 cubic feet per minute, compared to the Revo system which was able to flow 480 CFM with a restriction of around 600 mmWg. This difference allows the engine to still make power at the top of the rev installing with the Revo kit.   INCREASED POWER AND TORQUE The Carbon Air Scoop (with silicone back hose and ProPanel) was installed on a variety of stage 2 & 3 vehicles, all tested on a 4-wheel hub dyno. Three consecutive runs were carried out on each vehicle comparing the stock system to the Revo MQB Carbon Air Scoop. A consistent gain of +10WHP was found on the 300ps 2.0TSI and +17WHP on the 220ps 2.0TSI, with both giving an average gain throughout the rev range of +16NM torque. Stock 300ps  280lbft  REVO Stage 1 Software from 345ps to 370ps  from 339lbft to 368lbft  2.0TSI GEN3 GPF The latest generation 2.0TSI engine has seen some substantial changes in factory form to keep in line with the latest emissions laws. Most notable is the introduction of the GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) and the change to the single port injection system. Close monitoring of the GPF system has been an essential step in finding the limitations and tuning potential of the newer DNU* engines. The general consensus is that the GPF not only mutes but limits the engine power, Revo ECU calibration might be reason to dispute that. Enhancing the vehicle with Revo ECU Software gives you much more than just an increase in power and torque. A large part of development is based on drive cycle and driver feedback, our calibration doesn’t just give a great dyno curve and peak power/torque figures but also delivers in feel; giving a smoother yet more responsive feel at low RPM/ partial throttle with huge gains at wide open throttle throughout the whole rev range. Only Revo performance ECU Software maintains factory safety levels and additional driving features. You can switch between three pre-set fuel quality modes depending on the fuel you use; these modes are set through testing our development vehicles in varying climatic conditions with a range of fuel quality throughout the world. This also allows Revo to test how Revo products perform in different driving scenarios and formed a vital part in the development of Performance ECU Software.   POWER GRAPHS   ADDITIONAL FEATURES COLD START PROTECTION For engine oil to work effectively and lubricate your engine it needs time to warm up. When you first start your car, the cold oil is at its thickest, producing higher oil pressure when pumped around the engine putting extra pressure on oil seals. As the engine temperature increases, so does oil temperature. This thins the oil, enabling it to run more freely and better lubricate the moving parts of your engine. Cold Start Protection helps protect engine components by limiting turbo boost based on RPM and oil temperature until it reaches the 80ºC optimum operating level. TEMPERATURE PROTECTION Revo Temperature Protection is an additional safety feature that reduces overall load as the oil temperature passes a set limit. Exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) are also monitored, adapting the operating conditions (Air Fuel Ratio) to ensure they stay within safe parameters. If EGT's reach a set upper limit, then power is automatically reduced until the engine returns to a safe operating temperature. ENHANCED TURBO CONTROL Revo Enhanced Turbine Control offers factory-like protection parameters to avoid over-boost and ensure turbine speeds do not exceed a safe level. GAUGE RECONFIGURATION The gauges on the centre console & instrument cluster have been reconfigured to display a true representation of the increased performance. The stock default values for manifold pressure and engine power have been raised. SWITCHABLE SOFTWARE Using an SPS switch you can take advantage of the switch-ability of Revo software. The Patented OBD2 interface is the ultimate compliment to Revo performance software, giving you the ability to switch between 3 fuel quality modes and an Anti-Theft mode via the vehicle OBD port.
