Not long after the Cooper S’s release it was entered in the Monte Carlo Rallye which sensationally it won in 1964 & 65. Production of the classic Mini continued until 2000 when the last one rolled off the production line however this was swiftly followed by the new generation BMW Mini which launched in the same year. Scorpion have been producing performance exhausts for the classic and new generation Mini’s for over 30 years, so it was natural that we became chief technical partner with the increasingly popular Mini Challenge race series ensuring true track to road technology transfer for our products.  Constructed from premium grade 304 stainless steel, the new cat back systems have been developed in partnership with the increasingly popular Mini Challenge series as a direct replacement of the more restrictive OEM systems. The non-resonated R56, R57, R58 & R59 system features 70mm pipework, a non-resonated centre section, acoustically refined rear silencer and can be tailored with your choice of tailpipe. We currently offer 90mm Daytona polished, Daytona black ceramic, Ascari carbon-fibre and Monaco polished or black ceramic tailpipes. The new professionally hand-built systems have been designed to improve on power by increasing gas flow and perfectly balancing back pressure. As well as advancing power, drivers will notice a sharper throttle response. With only the highest quality materials used in development and motorsport-based knowledge built from over 20 years’ experience in high-end race series, the cat back systems emit a stunning exhaust tone that is deeper than the original and emits a of sound pure quality. Both options fit with the OEM and Scorpion downpipe. Scorpion Exhausts release a new turbo downpipe to suit the Audi RS3 8V Sportback & Saloon plus Audi TT RS Mk3 GPF models The innovative new turbo downpipe is constructed from large bore 100mm & 76mm pipework and has been specifically designed for tuners seeking to maximise their vehicles performance. With performance in mind, the high flow design allows the exit of hot gas much quicker when comparing it to the more restrictive OEM downpipe.  The kit is formed of three main parts, the 100mm turbo downpipe, centre section which can be selected in two formats, a de-cat or 200 cell sports cat and the rear Y piece which connects to the OEM or Scorpion GPF-back system with the supplied fitting kit. (Fitting the downpipe removes the OE Catalyst & GPF. Engine light will illuminate when installed, remap recommended when installing either option). When fitting to a non GPF model or one with a sports/de-cat downpipe we would recommend using our resonated system to prevent in cabin drone. When fitting to a GPF model we would recommend using our non-resonated system to bring the cars audio track to life. To compliment the Audi’s premium sporty looks we have designed our Carbon Ascari Evo tailpipes to sit precisely in the rear valance. Both systems come with the option of valved or non-valved to allow for a driver’s personalised sound. Valved - which uses the original motor and can be operated by the driver with the drive mode select button inside the car. The non-valved option deletes the valve completely for a continuous sportier tone. Our system gives the car a measurable reduction in weight when compared to the OE system, this is an improvement most drivers will find hard to rebuff.
