After the success of our Intake system for the RHD Suzuki swift Sport (ZC33S), due to popular demand we wanted to give LHD swift owners an equivalent aftermarket intake filtration system. Several months of testing have been spent developing a kit with all the same qualities of our FMINDK29 kit which are: Increase power and torque output Improve the sound characteristics of the engine note Improve the visual impact of the engine bay During our testing, we found that the location of the original air box was susceptible to a vast amount of heat soak, which lead us to relocate the location of where the air filter/airbox should be located in the engine bay. After extensive testing, we found that our carbon fibre canister filters worked the best. The filter element itself is provided by Pipercross, and is fully serviceable or replaceable if necessary. The pipe work of the kit runs around the cold side of the engine, this again is to keep intake temperatures down as low as possible. In total, we observed intake temperatures fall from 32°C down to 26°C. These numbers will come down further still with the addition of our intercooler upgrade.  Utilizing the superb 100% carbon fibre cannister and Forge High Flow filter we unleashed an impressive 6bhp increase on independent dyno testing. The design of this kit has also introduced some excitement to the driving experience with a subtle yet characterful induction roar when on harder acceleration.     You will be very happy with the visual impact with the kit upon opening the bonnet. Every part of the kit from the handmade aluminium hard pipe to the bespoke silicon hose and the carbon fibre filter both look and feel high quality - quite simply, because they are! Many months and man hours of development have gone into this product to achieve our three main objectives: Increase power and torque output Improve the sound characteristics of the engine note Improve the visual impact of the engine bay During our testing, we found that the location of the original air box was susceptible to a vast amount of heat soak. This is because the airbox air feed is placed directly above a very hot source of heat - the radiator. This led us to design and relocate where the air filter/airbox is housed in the engine bay. The Forge cold air intake system now cleverly draws air from within the Suzuki Swifts front bumper keeping the intake temperatures extra cool in any climate. After extensive testing, we found that our carbon fibre canister filters worked the best. The filter element itself is provided by Pipercross, and is fully serviceable or replaceable if necessary. The pipe work of the kit runs around the cold side of the engine and away from the engines turbo manifold; this again is to keep intake temperatures down as low as possible. In total, we observed intake temperatures fall from 39°C down to 26°C. These numbers will come down further still with the addition of our intercooler upgrade.  The Forge High Flow airbox produced an impressive increase of over 8BHP at 5500RPM and a gain of toruqe throughout the entire rev range on independent dyno testing. The design of this kit has also introduced some excitement to the driving experience with a subtle yet characterful induction roar when on harder acceleration.       You will be very happy with the visual impact of the kit upon opening the bonnet. The noise well is more than I expected sounds brilliant, it really does 'suck' and 'hiss' absolutely brilliant from a induction kit. On a tuned GTR one of the limiting factors of getting above 600bhp is the diameter of the stock airfilter pipework which won't allow higher power. The Forge Nissan R35 GTR intake uses much larger (80mm) than the stock pipework for massively improved flow and higher horsepower potential. The Pipercross filters allow unrestricted airflow from the front of the car. As a result of this improved flow, however, the GTR ECU must be remapped to take into account this extra airflow potential. Forge recommends the use of either the Cobb Accessport or EcuTek solutions, both of which will allow your GTR to reach its power goal. This intake kit WILL fit any car fitted with the pop-up bonnet safety device. Everything is connected via high quality silicone couplers. The system creates a true ram air effect, and will only see airflow from outside the vehicle with absolutely no hot air from within the engine that could reduce power. We have dyno tested this kit, and have seen gains as high as 10 peak wheel horsepower improvement over the stock airbox and filter on Stage 2 tuned vehicles.
