  • Revo MQB Engine Mount Kit Full Set with tool - Car Enhancements UK

Revo Revo MQB Engine Mount Kit Full Set with tool

Revo Engine Mounts More power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock engine mounts, designed to favour comfort over performance, fail to manage axle hop and torque effectively requiring you to ease off in order to gain traction. Designed to significantly reduce this engine movement, Revo engine mounts use Dual Durometer technology to minimise noise, vibration and harshness levels (NVH) while drastically improving traction and acceleration. The engine, transmission and torque mounts have been CAD designed to offer OE quality fitment with the performance benefits and quality of a Revo product. Key Features Dramatically reduce engine movement Improved acceleration and torque Dual Durometer Technology Comes with removal tool for torque mount Engine & Transmission Mount The primary design goal of the engine and transmission mounts was to provide a management system for engine movement during vehicle operation with increased power/torque, in order to retain vehicle acceleration and tyre contact during aggressive driving. The aforementioned solution must also continue to dissipate the NVH naturally created by the drivetrain. To accomplish this, the bushing design of past Revo engine mounts was retained in the MQB engine and transmission mounts, allowing Revo engineers to focus their efforts on bushing stiffness/type to accomplish the task. Torque Mount Arguably the most vital engine mount upgrade to consider, testing highlighted that the engines stock lower torque mount allowed a substantial amount of engine movement to occur. Although some improvements were noted during testing of an insert style upgrade designed to stiffen the standard mount, there was a significant increase in NVH felt in the cabin. This was dramatically reduced when completely replaced with the Revo polyurethane torque mount and also improved acceleration. Fitting the mount does not require the sub-frame to be removed, reducing installation time and the need for axle re-alignment. A Revo installation tool is included to make removal of the OEM mount and installation of the replacement as quick and easy as possible. Materials, Manufacturing & Fitment Effective design and fitment plays a principal role in managing engine movement to ensure optimal acceleration and tyre contact with the road while dissipating NVH experienced from the drivetrain. Each component has been designed using CAD technology to ensure precision fitment and is supplied with class 12.9 hardware to replace the standard fixings. To ensure optimum strength and durability, brackets and housings are CNC machined from 6061-billet aluminium and finished with an anodised coating to protect from heat and corrosion. OEM Comfort, Aftermarket Performance To achieve the optimal balance between performance and comfort, several different durometer bushings were tested on a Volkswagen Golf Mk7 GTI. Bushings were systematically tested at precise increments at each mount location. A 3-axis accelerometer was used to quantify the NVH levels being transmitted into the cabin, as well as the acceleration of the drivetrain during loading. Accelerometer data gave us a way to compare mount combinations against each other with a low data error percentage and to quantify driver comfort as well as engine movement. Supplemental data was taken from VCDS to ensure each individual test was standardised over a given throttle, RPM and speed range. The graph shows the amount of vibration measured whilst driving through the gears. • APR Billet Stainless Steel Dogbone/Subframe Mount Insert for MQB Vehicles - Car Enhancements UK

APR APR Billet Stainless Steel Dogbone/Subframe Mount Insert for MQB Vehicles

The APR Billet Stainless-Steel Dogbone / Subframe Mount Insert limits driveline movement, which helps to minimize wheel-hop and torque steer. This provides a more direct driving experience by eliminating slop in the driveline and does so without introducing excessive or uncomfortable driveline vibration and noise. The APR insert is created from thick, billet, stainless-steel. All mounts will slightly deform under use, but unlike all other units created from rubber, polyurethane, and even billet-aluminum, the APR unit will not heavily deform to the point of failure. Rest assured this simple upgrade will last the test of time, unlike others, and packs a limited lifetime warranty against cracking! We offer the mount in two different configurations depending on the style of your factory mount. Be sure to check your subframe mount before purchase.

  • Revo MQB Lower Torque Mount - Car Enhancements UK

Revo Revo MQB Lower Torque Mount

Revo Torque MountMore power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock torque mount is designed to offer comfort over performance and does not manage engine movement effectively. Designed to significantly reduce the loss of torque and drastically improve traction and acceleration, the Revo Torque mount has little to no effect on vibration and harshness levels (NVH) felt in the cabin. Key Features Dramatically reduce drivetrain movement Improved acceleration and torque Simple and easy to install with tool included Doesn't require sub-frame removal for installation Arguably the most vital engine mount upgrade to consider, testing highlighted that the engines stock lower torque mount allowed a substantial amount of engine movement to occur. This was dramatically reduced when completely replaced with the Revo polyurethane torque mount and also improved acceleration. Fitting Kit A Revo installation tool is included to make removal of the OEM mount and installation of the replacement as quick and easy as possible. • RacingLine Twin Dogbone Mount Inserts (MQB / MQB Evo) - Car Enhancements UK

Racingline RacingLine Twin Dogbone Mount Inserts (MQB / MQB Evo)

RacingLine Twin Dogbone Mount Inserts (MQB / MQB Evo) The RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert limits the compliance of the lower engine mount by filling the large voids with our two Billet Inserts. All of the foreward/backwards rocking movement in your drivetrain is controlled by this Lower Mount – fitment of the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. The Twin Dogbone Insert uses not one but two precision machined billet inserts to avoid the damaging bending moment that comes from fitment of a single insert. Many companies offer either the upper or the lower mount insert alone - we advise very strongly against fitting just a single insert. With a single insert, the twisting moment force on the mount becomes significant, leading to almost-certain failure. That’s why RacingLine only offer the Twin Dogbone Insert, keeping the forces balanced top and bottom through the mount and remove the risk of twisting forces destroying your insert. The risk of wheel-hop under hard acceleration is almost eliminated as the whole engine and 'box assembly is firmly prevented from juddering when wheelspin occurs and through aggressive gearchanges - especially valuable on FWD cars.Fitment of the Twin Inserts will only add a minimal NVH increase to the car’s characteristics, but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more 'connected' to their car, and the gentle 'growl' that the mount conveys. Each Twin Dogbone Insert start life as a billet of T6061 Aluminium, before being precision CNC-machined into shape. Finished in RacingLine’s trademark black anodised finish for durability over many years. Easy, straightforward installation designed to be fitted without subframe removal means it just takes minutes. Why not just fit one of the two inserts? After all, many companies offer either the upper or the lower mount insert alone.RacingLine strongly advise against fitting just one insert. With a single insert, the twisting moment force on the mount becomes significant, leading to almost-certain failure. That’s why RacingLine only offer the Twin Dogbone Insert, with two billet inserts to keep the forces balanced top and bottom through the mount and remove the risk of twisting forces destroying your insert.Version 1 - This is compatible with OE Bushing Part no# 5Q0 198 037 AVersion 2 - This is compatible with OE Bushing Part no# 5Q0 198 037 F

  • Racingline Lower Engine Mount 2.0TSI (MQB Aluminium Subframe Only) – VWR150002 - Car Enhancements UK

Racingline Racingline Lower Engine Mount 2.0TSI (MQB Aluminium Subframe Only) – VWR150002

Racingline Subframe Torque Link Mount – Aluminium Subframes Only To harness your power increases, and transfer that power to the road or track where you need it, Racingline Performance Engine Mounts will give a much more solid drive, and crucially give additional durability. The Racingline Performance Engine Mounts are certainly not one of the most exciting or visual modifications that you can do to your car! But they are truly one of the most worthwhile for anyone who appreciates the driving dynamics of their car. Almost everyone who tries these mounts on a Golf or Scirocco wants them. WHAT DO THE ENGINE MOUNTS DO? The whole engine and gearbox is located in only three places. One at engine-side plus another at the end of the gearbox which support the weight of the whole drivetrain, plus a third torque arm underneath the engine to contain the fore-aft movement (often called the pendulum or dog-bone mount). The standard car uses very compliant rubber in these mounts to give a soft take-up of power and isolate the cabin from drivetrain noise. For a daily driven standard car, these bushings do a good job of keeping cabin vibration to a minimum. But when you ask more of these mounts, with higher power or hard driving, the flex in the bushes becomes very noticeable. This gives a slightly loose feeling to the drivetrain and an increased chance of wheel-hop under hard acceleration as the whole engine and ‘box assembly judders. If your car produces high power, or has covered quite a few road miles, or is driven hard, the softness of these three standard rubber mounts allows more and more movement as you come on and off the power. With worn mounts, we have even seen failures of the exhaust manifold and driveshafts as the whole drivetrain shifts around under load. WHAT DIFFERENCE DO THE Racingline Performance MOUNTS MAKE? The Racingline Performance engine mounts stiffen the whole location of the drivetrain greatly to give a much crisper feeling to your car. This means no more jerky behaviour on and off the throttle or when you change gear, and all-but eliminates ‘wheel hop’ off the line. Of course, a bit more noise from the drivetrain comes into the cabin, but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more ‘connected’ to their car. As opposed to some aftermarket ‘push in’ bushes which crudely fill the voids in the factory mounts, the Volkswagen units are completely redesigned replacement mount assemblies. We specify a stiff urethane of 75A durometer which allows some movement within the mounts, and filters much of the drivetrain’s vibration but with a design that very significantly reduces the movement on each. For most road cars, we’d recommend the lower engine mount on its own, leaving the two upper mounts standard. This makes a huge difference to how the car drives, and is a pretty minimal difference to the cabin refinement. The lower engine mount on its own is one of our most popular upgrades for Golfs and Sciroccos. For more heavily modified, track and motorsport cars, all three mounts should be upgraded. • Neuspeed Engine Torque Arm Insert - Car Enhancements UK

Neuspeed Neuspeed Engine Torque Arm Insert

Under hard acceleration, your entire engine and transmission actually rotates due to compliance in the factory bushings. While the soft factory bushings do a good job of damping engine vibration, they can also create a rubbery, vague response in the vehicle's powertrain. Our torque arm insert works in concert with the OE rubber bushing. With the insert installed, you car's throttle response will feel better and your shifts will feel more crisp and defined on both manual and automatic transmission cars. Notes: Audi and VW have changed the torque arm mount mid-production cycle. To ensure you receive the correct item, please make sure that your OE mount looks like the mount in the second picture. If it does not, use the other version. NOTE: Urethane is not as compliant as rubber. As a result, you may notice a slight increase in ride harshess and engine vibration after installation. Not recommeded for TDI vehicles.
