This AMG A 35 performance exhaust is made in 3in/76.2mm pipework and fits from the front catalyst section backwards (Cat-back) replacing the PPF, centre and rear sections. The exhaust is designed to fit to the standard bumper mounted O/E exhaust tips. Please Note: The 'non-valved' exhaust removes the use of exhaust valves. When switching drive modes (e.g. Eco to Race mode) your exhaust tone will not change from quieter to louder as before. Using a Non-Valved exhaust will not harm the running of your vehicle, you will simply not have exhaust sound options, however the Cobra Sport exhaust has been designed with this in mind.The 'valved' exhaust retains the use of exhaust valves. When switching drive modes (e.g. Eco to Race mode) your exhaust tone will continue to swop from quieter to louder tones as before. IMPORTANT: this exhaust removes the PPF filter and will require engine tuning at time of fitment to cancel the EML light. Fitment is for motorsport and off road use only. This exhaust removes the standard rear box for the ultimate improvement in terms of exhaust tone and sound level whilst keeping the stock catalyst and GPF in place. GPF-Back (Box Delete) Test Results: Sound - Engine at Idle: 65dB (+2.1dB) - Static 3,800rpm test: 85dB (+6.4dB) All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. This exhaust makes the system louder as it removes the standard PPF filter and therefore, offers a significantly sportier exhaust note. PPF Delete Test Results: Sound - Engine at Idle: 65.5dB (+2.6dB) - Static 3,800rpm test: 86dB (+7.4dB) All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied for fitment and to revert back to the standard exhaust. Fitment to models which have the PPF filter as standard will require basic engine tuning at time of fitment to cancel the EML light. This large bore downpipe with de-cat sports exhaust is sold for motorsport and off road use only and will NOT be able to pass a UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks. All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. Press Release Power testing with the Cobra Sport downpipe fitted revealed a +5bhp increase in power over standard, the downpipe has however been designed for fitment in conjunction with an engine remap. With the software applied, the development car returned a huge increase in power and torque completely changing the power dynamics of the car. Max power increased by a +60bhp to 425bhp. Torque increased by a colossal +137 lb-ft up to a staggering 504 lb-ft at 3160rpm, the power increases create a dramatic change in driver experience after the remap was applied. Both Cobra Sport's Technical and Development teams were involved in the planning and preparation that went into designing the new downpipe. Cobra Sport have been able to reduce the weight of the part by 54% with the downpipe weighing in at just 3.45kg. Manufactured from aircraft grade 304 Stainless Steel, advanced manufacturing techniques and superior TIG welding procedures produce a superlative finish. Not only is it beautifully designed, it has been created to capture the maximum amount of harmful contaminants, including oil deposits, unused fuel vapours and moisture, all of which would ordinarily make their way back through to the inlet of the engine. Extensive testing has proven our oil catch tank’s ability to effectively reduce sludge and carbon build up, in turn allowing the Mercedes M133 engine to both breathe and perform more efficiently. It can therefore be viewed as a genuine performance enhancing product and one we recommend any owner of this vehicle seriously consider, particularly if they are planning more advanced power tuning at a later date. The 0.4l (400cc) catch tank boasts a slew of features intended to make it both easy to check and simple to drain, including a dipstick for level inspection and a well-placed drain tap.
