Our sports exhausts range is fully guaranteed to give you assurance of our quality. This VW Polo GTI performance exhaust is made in 2.5" / 63.5mm pipework and fits from the front pipe / catalyst backwards (Cat-back system) these exhausts replace the front box, centre and rear sections. This resonated sports exhaust includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This part is also available as a non-resonated version (excluding the centre silencer) which is a louder option. Please Note - This package includes a "Race Pipe" which removes the first standard box. All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. (Except turbo gasket).   COBRA SPORT PRODUCT REVIEW   Cobra Sport’s experienced engineers were able to design an exhaust upgrade which balanced the need for improved gas flow without sacrificing back pressure. The results speak for themselves and certainly boost the car’s credentials. Our fully tuned version was given an inter cooler, induction kit and re-map, together with a Cobra Sport Turbo Back non-resonated exhaust upgrade with high-flow catalyst. On testing the Polo achieved a 50.3bhp increase in power taking it to 227.3bhp from its original 177bhp starting point. Similar increases were achieved with torque, which increased from 184lb-ft to a whopping 227.5lb-ft. Mass was reduced considerably providing a weight saving of almost 37% in comparison to its OE counterpart. All in all these are certainly impressive results for this little car. Styling options consist of standout twin 3” tailpipes in various designs, including the less obtrusive slash cut versions which compliments the VW aesthetics nicely. The exhaust upgrade provides a purposeful but unobtrusive sound quality which in no way interferes with day-to-day driveability. Engineering perfection is a given with all Cobra Sport exhausts, mandrel bends ensure an even curvature throughout and hand finishing of each individual system using advanced stainless steel TIG welding techniques providing assured quality in every exhaust.

Please Note:- Some of the fitted exhaust images may show alternative product combinations.   COBRA SPORT PRODUCT REVIEW   The latest vehicle to pass through the Cobra Sport exhaust development process is the MK6 VW Polo GTI 1.8 TSI. Having previously achieved impressive results from the previous 1.4 Polo GTI we were keen to get the new 1.8 litre model in for development to create a new range of Cobra Sport performance exhausts. The larger 1.8 litre engine in the new Polo GTI produces 190bhp as standard matched with an impressive 236 lb-ft of torque giving the lightweight Polo impressive performance figures on paper whilst creating an exhilarating drive. The Cobra Sport team were able to reduce the weight of the exhaust system by an impressive 41% over the OEM system with the resonated 2.5” cat back system weighing in at only 9.52kg compared to the original 16.20kg. The de-cat and sports cat front pipes have been enlarged to 3” bore and offer a weight saving of 0.60kg. The new systems benefit from all of the usual Cobra Sport refinements with mandrel bent, TIG welded, grade 304 stainless steel used throughout the systems as standard. You can therefore be assured of only the best quality in a Cobra Sport system. Matt Thomas, Sales Manager at Cobra Sport says “The new MK6 Polo has been a big hit with initial owners and journalists who rate the 1.8 TSI litre engine as a big improvement over the previous 1.4 TSI. We are very excited to have developed a full range of exhaust systems to offer an upgrade to suit the wide range of buyer requirements.
