ECS GEOMET® premium brake rotors start with quality materials and precision ECS machining. That would be enough for most of us, but it is only the beginning. To prevent brake pad deposits for better braking, select a slotted ECS GEOMET® rotor. Slotting cleans the pads by moving water, gasses, and contaminants away from the pad/rotor contact surface. To prevent rust pitting and corrosion damage, ECS GEOMET® rotors are sprayed with a special water-based solution, then heated to cure the coating and remove all oil residue remaining from the manufacturing process. These added steps create a durable, lasting rotor surface that resists road salt, solvents, and other corrosives. GEOMET® is a proprietary water-based coating that contains metal oxides, metallic zinc, and aluminum flakes. Product Details The engineers at ECS Tuning have developed a 2-piece Tru-Float Wave style rotor that combines the advantages of weight savings and rapid heat dissipation, providing a rotor superior to stock while preventing warping and extending component life. The reduction of unsprung weight (by 6.7 pounds per rotor) improves handling characteristics under all situations and offers real world benefits that can be felt on both the street and track! All-around improvement in one performance minded package. Features include: Weight savings: The B8 S4/S5 ECS 2-Piece Tru-Float wave rotors weigh only 17.8 lbs each, compared to the stock rotor at 24.5 lbs. The lighter 2-piece rotor reduces unsprung weight and rotational inertia, improving suspension performance. Product Details This Stage 3 Big Brake Kit takes your braking to an extreme level using parts usually reserved for the high performance vehicles. Tru-Float Wave Rotor Features Include: Weight Savings - The ECS 2-Piece Tru-Float wave rotors reduce unsprung weight and rotational inertia, improving suspension performance. The lightweight precision machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat is hard anodized with an attractive matte black finish that is both durable and corrosion resistant.  The unique wave pattern further reduces weight at the outer most portion of the rotor, reducing both unsprung weight and more importantly the rotational inertia of the rotor, further improving acceleration and braking performance compared to a non-wave design.
