This is designed to reduce noise from the turbocharger by using two holes cut into the side walls that create chambers. These chambers cause turbulence in the air exiting the turbo which produces back pressure that negatively affects performance and response. Design Features Designed by Revo, the turbo muffler delete is CNC machined from a single piece of billet aluminium and anodised black for strength and corrosion resistance with a laser-etched Revo logo. Its single piece design allows air a more direct path when exiting the turbo, smoothing flow to offer enhanced throttle and boost response. This part comes complete with a high-temperature gasket to ensure a secure seal when installed.     OPEN CONE INTAKE The Revo open cone Air Intake System for the 2.0T Gen3 engine improves performance and offers an aggressive intake sound. Ensuring your engine can get access to enough air is paramount when increasing power; more air means more power throughout the rev-range. Only Revo Air Intake Systems are specifically designed to work in harmony with your vehicle and Revo ECU Software. Engineered to directly replace the stock airbox, pipework and filter, this kit comes complete with a silicone hose, aluminium pipe, heat shield, filter, machined turbo coupler and fitting kit. KEY FEATURES Increased Performance (+12BHP +23Nm) Improved Air Flow Efficiency Three Stage Foam Filter with Mesh Direct to turbo fitment OEM VS REVO When you begin to enhance performance, the restrictive OEM intake struggles to flow enough air, robbing the engine of power. The Revo Air Intake System removes these restrictive elements promoting smoother airflow. Open Cone systems replace the OEM air box to make space for the heat shield, filter and silicone hose which joins directly to the turbo. Revo Flush Fit silicone hoses avoid unwanted turbulence at joins, and increase the rate at which air can flow ensuring maximum performance at any level of tuning. SILICONE HOSE The Revo silicone hose as an increased inner diameter that gradually tapers from hard pipe to turbo to optimise airflow. Designed to directly replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range. A machined billet bung is integrated into the hose, connecting the stock PCV system vacuum. TURBO INLET The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The billet aluminium inlet securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components further ensures uninterrupted airflow and removes any unnecessary turbulence. HEATSHIELD Ensuring the engine has access to cold air is vital for performance. The Revo heat shield channels cold air from the front intake duct while partitioning the filter from the heat of the engine bay. The Revo Heatshield uses the stock mounting points to provide easy and secure installation. FILTER An intake system is only as good as the filter. This kit comes complete with a custom Revo foam filter, supported by galvanised epoxy-coated mesh for strength under load. Revo three-stage foam filters work very differently to conventional paper or cotton-gauze alternatives designed to trap particles on the outer layer. Revo filters trap debris and particles within the foam layers, allowing air to still navigate through.   RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house and are rigorously tested utilising an in-house 3D printer, latest CAD and CFD programs, hub dyno and Revo data acquisition software. The Revo intake allows the turbo to run more efficiently, intake a larger volume of air and minimise turbulence to increase both power and torque, as highlighted during controlled dyno testing.   PERFORMANCE DATA Back-to-back testing of the stock air intake system and the Revo kit were carried out. Fitted to an Audi S3 (310PS Model) with Revo ECU Software, Revo Intercooler, Revo Charge & Throttle Pipes and Revo Downpipe. The results show improvement throughout the whole rev range. The Revo intake offering an average gain of +12WHP, and +18NM torque over the stock part. Increased airflow also delivers impressive peak performance gains of +19.4BHP @6000rpm and +55NM @2400RPM over the stock intake system. AIRFLOW To evaluate the efficiency, the Revo Intake was tested for inlet charge pressure and mass airflow. Boost pressure was measured and an increase in charge pressure was seen across the top end of the RPM range, as detailed in the dyno graph.     Revo Engine Mounts More power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock engine mounts, designed to favour comfort over performance, fail to manage axle hop and torque effectively requiring you to ease off in order to gain traction. Designed to significantly reduce this engine movement, Revo engine mounts use Dual Durometer technology to minimise noise, vibration and harshness levels (NVH) while drastically improving traction and acceleration. The engine, transmission and torque mounts have been CAD designed to offer OE quality fitment with the performance benefits and quality of a Revo product. Key Features Dramatically reduce engine movement Improved acceleration and torque Dual Durometer Technology Comes with removal tool for torque mount Engine & Transmission Mount The primary design goal of the engine and transmission mounts was to provide a management system for engine movement during vehicle operation with increased power/torque, in order to retain vehicle acceleration and tyre contact during aggressive driving. The aforementioned solution must also continue to dissipate the NVH naturally created by the drivetrain. To accomplish this, the bushing design of past Revo engine mounts was retained in the MQB engine and transmission mounts, allowing Revo engineers to focus their efforts on bushing stiffness/type to accomplish the task. Torque Mount Arguably the most vital engine mount upgrade to consider, testing highlighted that the engines stock lower torque mount allowed a substantial amount of engine movement to occur. Although some improvements were noted during testing of an insert style upgrade designed to stiffen the standard mount, there was a significant increase in NVH felt in the cabin. This was dramatically reduced when completely replaced with the Revo polyurethane torque mount and also improved acceleration. Fitting the mount does not require the sub-frame to be removed, reducing installation time and the need for axle re-alignment. A Revo installation tool is included to make removal of the OEM mount and installation of the replacement as quick and easy as possible. Materials, Manufacturing & Fitment Effective design and fitment plays a principal role in managing engine movement to ensure optimal acceleration and tyre contact with the road while dissipating NVH experienced from the drivetrain. Each component has been designed using CAD technology to ensure precision fitment and is supplied with class 12.9 hardware to replace the standard fixings. To ensure optimum strength and durability, brackets and housings are CNC machined from 6061-billet aluminium and finished with an anodised coating to protect from heat and corrosion. OEM Comfort, Aftermarket Performance To achieve the optimal balance between performance and comfort, several different durometer bushings were tested on a Volkswagen Golf Mk7 GTI. Bushings were systematically tested at precise increments at each mount location. A 3-axis accelerometer was used to quantify the NVH levels being transmitted into the cabin, as well as the acceleration of the drivetrain during loading. Accelerometer data gave us a way to compare mount combinations against each other with a low data error percentage and to quantify driver comfort as well as engine movement. Supplemental data was taken from VCDS to ensure each individual test was standardised over a given throttle, RPM and speed range. The graph shows the amount of vibration measured whilst driving through the gears.
