Scorpion Exhausts release a new turbo downpipe to suit the Audi RS3 8V Sportback & Saloon plus Audi TT RS Mk3 GPF models The innovative new turbo downpipe is constructed from large bore 100mm & 76mm pipework and has been specifically designed for tuners seeking to maximise their vehicles performance. With performance in mind, the high flow design allows the exit of hot gas much quicker when comparing it to the more restrictive OEM downpipe.  The kit is formed of three main parts, the 100mm turbo downpipe, centre section which can be selected in two formats, a de-cat or 200 cell sports cat and the rear Y piece which connects to the OEM or Scorpion GPF-back system with the supplied fitting kit. (Fitting the downpipe removes the OE Catalyst & GPF. Engine light will illuminate when installed, remap recommended when installing either option). One of the VAG group companies Audi really became noticed as producers of performance road cars in the early 80’s with their release of the legendary Audi Ur Quattro, the world’s first all-wheel drive turbo production car. This was a real game changer which went on to win numerous world rally championships and sowed the seeds for their future high performance road cars. Scorpion has a heritage of producing high quality performance exhausts for these legends of the 80’s through to the highly sought-after performance models available currently.  Manufactured from premium 80mm/3.14” T304 Stainless Steel the RS3 system is offered for both GPF and non-GPF cars. When fitting to a non GPF model or one with a sports/de-cat downpipe we would recommend using our resonated system to prevent in cabin drone. When fitting to a GPF model we would recommend using our non-resonated system to bring the cars audio track to life. To compliment the Audi’s premium sporty looks we have designed our Carbon Ascari Evo tailpipes to sit precisely in the rear valance. Both systems come with the option of valved or non-valved to allow for a driver’s personalised sound. Valved - which uses the original motor and can be operated by the driver with the drive mode select button inside the car. The non-valved option deletes the valve completely for a continuous sportier tone. Our system gives the car a measurable reduction in weight when compared to the OE system, this is an improvement most drivers will find hard to rebuff. At the rear end of the system is an acoustically developed silencer to ensure zero drone throughout the rev range. AUDI RS3 BRAKE DISC UPGRADE The Audi RS3 comes with a fairly substantial 8-pot brake setup straight from the factory. Whilst the stock calliper works very well the same can’t be said for the discs or the factory specification pads that seem to perform best at lower temperatures or very light road use. The factory 370mm 'wavy' discs certainly look the part but the design flaw is that both discs are identical; when fitted, the cooling vanes in the right-hand disc face the wrong direction and do not offer any cooling benefit. The excessive heat this generates combined with the factory pad compound causes big issues with braking efficiency and longevity of the disc and pads. The Revo disc upgrade is designed to directly replace the stock discs and comes complete and ready to fit with left and right-handed, directional 380mm two-piece floating discs. Saving 1.2 Kg each side the disc not only weighs less than the OEM part but also features much larger, more efficient cooling veins individually designed for each side of the vehicle to ensure even braking performance, pad wear and cooling capability. This is a premium upgrade that should have come from the factory. As the Revo discs dissipate heat much more efficiently the factory pad compound works much better in real-world conditions, only when you’re using the vehicle on the track would we recommend considering a different pad altogether. Managing this heat efficiently is extremely important to avoid it transferring to the pads, calliper and fluid. The OEM RS3 discs are manufactured as a single part, pumping air in different directions on each side of the vehicle. This causes varying levels of cooling efficiency and temperatures leading to judder and brake fade. REVO DISCS Revo discs are manufactured by Alcon and utilise over thirty years of motorsport expertise in their design and manufacture. Internal vanes are used to draw air through the centre of the disc outward, allowing the heat to transfer as it passes. The rotation of the discs and vanes play an important role in brake cooling as it acts as a pump to move air and unlike the OEM brake discs, the Revo upgrade consists of a right and left-hand disc to optimise cooling and ensure consistent stopping power for your vehicle.   TWO-PIECE FLOATING DESIGN Utilising a two-piece floating design allows the disc and hat to expand radially and axially as they absorb heat generated from use, avoiding the most common cause of warping and cracking seen in single-piece rotors. Due to the efficiency of this design, Revo discs last considerably longer than factory discs.
