Oil catch cans are vital preventative additions to ensure the performance and efficiency of Direct Injection engines doesn’t deteriorate over time. AIRTEC Motorsport’s solution to developing a catch can kit specifically for the S1 model utilises the available space to integrate seamlessly within the engine bay. It features a high-quality billet machined bracket, finished in powder-coated satin black, which allows the catch can to attach neatly in place. The can itself features an internal baffle and dipstick, and detaches to allow easy maintenance. It comes with a comprehensive fitting kit that includes all fixtures and fittings, as well as a detailed installation guide. Why do I need a catch can?The original oil breather set up can cause issues with carbon build-up inside the engine’s intake system over time. It forms an oily sludge that covers parts of the intake and inlet valves, which reduces air flow and therefore performance and efficiency. Once the build-up has formed, it’s a costly process to clean, so it makes sense to take preventative measures in order to avoid carbon build-up forming. A catch can also filters harmful contaminants before they can reach the inlet system.     Airtec AIRTEC MOTORSPORT RESONATOR DELETE PIPE FOR MINI F56 COOPER S & JCW

    A direct replacement part that gives increases in response and sound by eliminating the internal sound resonators built into the original boost pipe from the turbo. The manufacturer fits these resonators to reduce noise and quieten the tone, but by replacing the pipe for one without the baffled internals, flow is improved, as well as noise. This increases throttle response and heightens the soundtrack from within the car. The pipe is made from high-quality aluminium with a machined connector to fit the original fitting and is finished in powder coated black with a laser-cut plaque. More recently, EBC are pleased to announce that Bluestuff has passed extensive road focused testing and gained R90 approval on some E.U. fitments, making it unique in being the first truly track focused pad which is also perfectly legal for use on the public roads across Europe. There is no requirement for E.U. customers to inform their insurance company following fitment of R90 approved pads. For customers with experience of EBC’s widely acclaimed Yellowstuff material, Bluestuff boasts a similar friction profile but with a usefully higher friction coefficient across the now larger working range, feeling much like you’d imagine Yellowstuff to feel after a double hit of espresso. Bluestuff has a high friction coefficient without feeling grabby, taking things up a notch from EBC’s Yellowstuff material by bringing superb pedal modulation to a track pad with even greater fade resistance. However, being a track focused material, customers may experience a noticeable increase in both brake dust and brake noise. As is often the case with friction materials, an increase in ultimate performance is often met by an increase in noise and dust. For customers seeking the ultimate road/track pad with even greater levels of performance, check out EBC’s range of EBC Orangestuff grade full race pads which deliver faster bed in and higher temperature fade resistance. As with all brake pads, selection involves a trade off with life and disc/rotor wear and EBC have chosen with both the Bluestuff and Orangestuff grade race pads to offer a pad that is the replaceable item rather than the disc or rotor. EBC’s track and race materials are exceptionally kind on brake discs, making them especially desirable for modern performance cars that feature complex and hugely expensive 2-piece brake disc systems from the factory.
