    Why buy the Forge Fiat 500 dump valve? Your Fiat 500 is equipped with an electronic solenoid driven valve from the factory, which is integrated into the functions of the ECU, and unplugging or removing the valve will result in a check engine light on the dashboard. The Forge solution is to retain the solenoid operation, but to use it to divert vacuum and boost pressure to the valve, to make it into a more traditional valve driven by air pressure. The Forge valve will give you a product that is superior in its construction and durability over the OEM valve, and of course the forge is serviceable and guaranteed for life . Over time the OEM valve begins to leak, and in some cases the plastic piston goes brittle and breaks. The Forge valve doesn’t suffer with either of these problems as it uses an aluminium piston and is totally rebuildable. It’s also configurable for different levels of boost pressure e.g. on a remapped car, by simply changing the piston preload spring inside the valve. Go fit the Forge Fiat valve and enjoy the performance. The Forge atmospheric Blow Off valve for the Fiat 500 Abarth T-Jet made from billet aluminium. This atmospheric blow off valve dumps the charge-air to atmosphere creating the "Whoosh" sound when the throttle is lifted. This improves the throttle response and increases the clamping load to maintain boost pressure more reliably. Unlike single piston or diaphragm diverter valves, this uses counter balanced springs and dual pistons to prevent the valve from leaking air into the intake system at idle. This prevents our blow off valves suffering any of the failures associated with single piston and diaphragm type diverter valves. The kit is complete with all fittings and includes a replacement solenoid and wiring harness to activate the valve to retain the engine management functionality. The valve itself is of dual piston design for longevity with the ability to be serviced and tuned with replacement springs if required.     This valve kit allows the fitment of a fast response blow off valve on the VW Up 1.0 TSI/GTI engine. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge Motorsport have developed a twin piston dump valve that not only gives you an incredibly loud sound when lifting off the throttle but it also increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag, it is designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, as well as prolonging the life of your turbo. Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of an engines heat cycle, the plastic the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. This kit totally replaces this plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicon hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions.     The FMINDK38 is the cold air induction system for Ford’s latest generation 1.5-liter 3-cylinder ST engine. Like with all manufacturers in recent times the need to make smaller engines more efficient and more powerful has been an engineer’s top priority, this then creates a problem for the aftermarket manufacturers to improve what is already fitted to the vehicle, nevertheless this hasn’t stopped us at Forge Motorsport. A large amount of knowledge and knowhow from past development with all Ford models was available to us, however this is a totally new power unit and we needed to spend an extensive amount of testing time to ensure we ended up with a product that gives genuine improvements over the standard air box.    The choice of filter was decided after weeks of real-world testing and hours on the dyno experimenting with different filter options. We found that our Forge pleated filter worked best with an increase in power and torque while maintaining the best filtration properties, the build quality of the filter is superb and carries a limited lifetime warranty. This performance filter has been designed with a high quality silicone coupling and W2 Stainless Steel hose clamps to join the anodized black machined billet velocity stack. The filter is made using a high quality, high flow, synthetic nanofiber filtration media which is pleated to maximise surface area and in turn increase air flow. The use of the velocity stack MAF sensor housing maximises as much smooth air flow as possible. Our skilled CAD engineers have simulated different MAF sensor housing models to create the best design for this kit. The illustrations below demonstrate the benefit of using velocity stack science and show the smoothed air flow into the MAF sensor housing and inlet tract from the air filter. With the combination of both the filter and MAF sensor housing we saw total gains of 4bhp however this only tells half the story, if you study the data from the dyno graph you can see the increase in torque from 1500-3000 RPM and again at 4500 until the red line, in fact at 2200 RPM gains of 20NM are achieved. This is also the same with the BHP power figures, you are seeing gains sooner and at the latter stages of the rev range, making the engine perform stronger when you need it to.  On a tuned vehicle this combination is an essential purchase as the OEM air box is found to be too restrictive to achieve the optimum power figures and smooth power delivery. As a bi-product from FMINDK38 the acoustics from the 1.5 engine have been improved, there is now a purposeful induction roar under hard acceleration and a very addictive turbo flutter when you lift off the throttle. Not only to improve the aesthetics but to aid as a heat defence from the hot engine, we have provided a laser cut and powder coated aluminium shield, this surrounds the filter and incorporates the OEM air ducting to direct cold air to the intake. This kit can be installed to the OEM intake pipe or can be paired with our own silicone intake pipe FMINLH21, the key here is to further smooth the airflow to the turbo and eliminate any metal pipework as this is susceptible to greater heat soak and a potential loss in power.   A commonly asked question is will this fit any other aftermarket or the inlet hose intake? The answer is yes it will fit other manufacturers inlet hoses and fits to the original Ford inlet hose.  MAF Boss Manufactured from 6082 aerospace grade aluminium. This meant for many people, upgrading their induction kit would result in completely removing your engine cover. Now, with the release of our carbon fibre engine cover, FMEC4, Abarth owners can enjoy the power and performance of improved induction without having to sacrifice the aesthetic appearance of their engine bay! We designed our engine cover to fit perfectly alongside our induction kit FMINDF500, purposefully using carbon fibre as the material to compliment the carbon fibre canister of the induction kit. As this was specifically designed to fit alongside FMINDF500 we do not recommend, nor can we confirm fitment in conjunction with alterative aftermarket or OEM induction kits. 3D Scan, CAD, and Print 3D scans of an Abarth 595 with FMINDF500 installed were used to help develop this design. We used influence from the design of the original engine cover, so that FMEC4 will really compliment the aesthetics of the engine bay. Once the design was developed, we 3D printed a first prototype on our Formlabs Form 3L. The carbon fibre really helps to give the engine bay some character, blending in nicely with the carbon cannister of the Forge Motorsport induction kit. The high-quality carbon fibre is prepreg 2x2 twill formed in an autoclave from billet tooling and finished with an anti UV gloss gel coat.
