Following an extensive development process, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our Stage 3 oil cooler kit aimed at modified Yaris GR owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, this is our biggest oil cooler kit to date offering a huge 51% increase in volume over our Stage 1 oil cooler kit. Spanning across the entire front grille area for maximum air flow, the comprehensive kit also features laser-cut aluminium ducting to force cold air through the cooler. This allows it to fit with our Stage 3 intercooler kit (our Stage 1 oil cooler does not fit with the Stage 3 intercooler) to create the ultimate cooling package. The package includes a large AIRTEC Motorsport oil cooler with ducting, bespoke laser-cut and powder-coated brackets, high-quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings, and all fixtures, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. TESTED ON TRACKTried and tested on race tracks around Europe with our own 400+bhp Yaris GR, we were able to develop this package after battling with excessive oil temperatures when pushing hard for several fast laps in a row. As a result, our design engineers created a larger volume kit with carefully designed added ducting, which when tested created a huge improvement in sustaining safe oil operating temperatures no matter the climate, or period of driving. A direct replacement part that offers increases in performance and response, the enlarged turbo inlet elbow features a freer-flowing design with an increased internal diameter. How it worksThe original elbow gradually tapers down from the 63mm induction pipe to just 48.5mm as it enters the turbo, despite the turbo’s inlet measuring 51mm in diameter. This causes an unnecessary restriction within the intake side that hampers flow and limits throttle response. Our AIRTEC Motorsport direct replacement elbow features a CNC-machined flange with a correctly matched 51mm diameter, therefore removing the stepped restriction. The high-quality silicone hose instantly tapers to meet the 63mm diameter intake, therefore allowing the maximum amount of internal flow with increases of nearly 10%. The elbow upgrade includes all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed instructions. The increased volume and improved design works to reduce restriction and improve flow to the turbo, providing an increase in power and response. Oil catch cans are vital preventative additions to ensure performance of Direct Injection engines doesn’t deteriorate over time. AIRTEC Motorsport’s solution to developing a catch can kit specifically for the i20N model utilises the available space to integrate seamlessly within the engine bay. It features a high-quality billet machined bracket, finished in powder-coated satin black, which allows the catch can to attach neatly in place. The can itself features an internal baffle and dipstick, and detaches to allow easy maintenance. It comes with a comprehensive fitting kit that includes all fixtures and fittings, as well as a detailed installation guide. Why do I need a catch can?The original oil breather set up can cause issues with carbon build-up inside the engine’s intake system over time. It forms an oily sludge that covers parts of the intake and inlet valves, which reduces air flow and therefore performance. Once the build-up has formed, it’s a costly process to clean, so it makes sense to take preventative measures in order to avoid carbon build-up forming.
