Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to replacing the OEM oil filter housing cap that’s originally made in plastic and is known to become brittle and fail over time. It also improves aesthetics within the engine bay and is easier to remove and replace, as it doesn’t require the special BMW tool the original does. Machined from billet aluminium, the cap features intricate detailing and an engraved AIRTEC Motorsport logo and wording, with a high quality anodised grey finish. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to improving the car’s oil cooling ability for modified Mk4 ST owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use. With vast experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler neatly behind the upper grille area without obstructing the air intakes. As a result, our design includes a designated scoop on the left-hand side that supports the oil cooler and channels cold air towards the intakes. The package also includes an AIRTEC Motorsport oil cooler, bespoke laser-cut and powder coated brackets, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings, a thermostat-controlled sandwich plate and all fixtures and fittings, including instructions for a bolt-on installation. A direct replacement for the original plastic tank, the AIRTEC Motorsport header tank is made from lightweight alloy and comes in a natural silver or high quality powder coated black finish. It also  features a sight glass to view the coolant level and comes with an uprated high pressure cap. The tank uses original fixing points, hoses and connectors so no drilling or cutting is required and fitting is a simple process. With an improved look to the engine bay and increased strength so the tank will not leak over time, this is a simple yet effective upgrade.  Please note: The Stant quick release high-pressure cap displayed in the images is for illustration purposes only, as Stant caps are no longer available.
