The Twin Dogbone Inserts fill the large voids in the factory lower engine mount with two billet inserts, limiting drivetrain movement for greatly improved strength and a much more enjoyable drive. What do they do? The RacingLine upper and lower Twin Dogbone Mount Insert is one of the most affordable and transformative upgrades you can do to your MQB/MQB Evo car. By slipping the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert into the voids of your factory lower engine mount you will stiffen the whole location of the drivetrain greatly to give a much tighter, sharper, more responsive feeling to your car. Crucially, fitting both the two-piece upper and lower inserts of the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert eliminates the bending forces that can cause damage and ultimately failure if just one insert is fitted (as many others offer). The RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert limits the compliance of the lower engine mount by filling the large voids with our two billet inserts. All of the forwards/backwards rocking movement in your drivetrain is controlled by this Lower Mount – fitment of the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. The risk of wheel-hop under hard acceleration is almost eliminated as the whole engine and 'box assembly is firmly prevented from juddering when wheelspin occurs and through aggressive gearchages. Fitment of the Twin Inserts will only add a minimal increase NVH to the car’s characteristics, but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more 'connected' to their car, and the gentle 'growl' that the mount conveys. To harness your power increases, and transfer that power to the track where you need it, our Uprated Drivetrain Mounts will give a much more solid drive, and crucially add durability to any high-powered or hard-driven car.The whole engine and gearbox (the drivetrain) is located in just three places. The two upper mounts support the entire weight of the engine/gearbox, plus a third Lower Mount underneath the engine. TRANSFORM THE DRIVE Transform the drive through eliminating wheel-hop off the line and through aggressive gearchanges. LOWER MOUNT For road cars, we recommend just the Uprated Lower Engine Mount for the perfect compromise EXTENSIVE DEVELOPMENT Careful development of the durometer (stiffness) rating of the polymer used, meaning less compromise on NVH. MATCHED SET High-powered, track or hard-driven cars, should have the full Uprated Mount Set as the ultimate choice. OK, these Mounts aren't the most visible or sexy of modifications. But for those in the know, with high-power cars or who use their car regularly on track, our Uprated Engine Mount Set is truly one of the most worthwhile upgrades to the driving dynamics of their car. Suitable for either DSG or manual cars. The Uprated Full Set of Engine Mount stiffens the whole location of the drivetrain greatly to give a much tighter, sharper feeling to your car. It removes the loose feeling when coming on and off-throttle during aggressive gearchanges, and banishes wheel-hop under hard acceleration as the whole engine and 'box assembly judders.This adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. Rather than some aftermarket 'push in' bushes which crudely fill the voids in the original factory mounts, the RacingLine mounts are a completely redesigned replacement mount assembly and torque link. Make no mistake, the full uprated engine mount kit is a relatively extreme modification to make to your car. Naturally, more noise from the drivetrain comes into the cabin (and more than when the Lower Engine Mount only is fitted), but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more 'connected' to their car, and the gentle 'growl' that the mount conveys. Allow a few hundred miles/kms of driving for the mount to settle in after installation. LOWER MOUNT. For most hard-driven road cars, we recommend starting with the Lower Mount only. You can always add the two upper engine and gearbox mounts at a later stage. A lot the fore/aft movement in the drivetrain is controlled by the Lower Mount - meaning that changing it alone makes a big difference to your drive. The additional two upper mounts add more strength, but also add in more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). Our A5-platform mount (think Golf 5/6/Scirocco/S3 8P etc) is a two-piece unit pressed into the subframe. It's a clever dual-durometer design, and features a cut-out to clear bigger roll-bars on the 4WD cars. The MQB & MQB 'EVO' platform Lower Mount also includes a billet aluminium Torque Link. Our testing showed that the pressed steel part used on the MQB-platform cars lack the stiffness needed. Product Details ECS Exact-Fit stainless reinforced clutch hoses provide more confident and dependable clutch operation by maintaining consistent pedal pressure, long lasting corrosion resistance, and increased protection from failure. Even when new, factory style fabric mesh lined rubber hoses are prone to expansion under the pressure of hard driving and clutch engagement. This expansion is even more prominent in aged and weathered rubber hoses and greater risks are accompanied when using a heavier pressure plate with an aftermarket clutch kit. The expansion within the clutch hose can cause the clutch to not disengage properly, making gear changes difficult during quick shifting. These Clutch Hoses are engineered and assembled with braided stainless steel mesh and offer superior expansion resistance and reinforcement. The resistance to expansion creates a firmer pedal, and a more direct pedal feel. The signature red polymer coating provides additional protection from the elements and abrasion common with the constant movement of the drivetrain system. ECS Exact-Fit Clutch Hoses are engineered in house to comply with DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) FMVSS 106 standards. Product Details The new ECS Clutch Bleeder Block for six-speed manual transmissions is a quality replacement for the plastic restrictor (damper) installed at the factory. Unlike the plastic-bodied OE original, the ECS bleeder block is all aluminum, with a large metal speed bleeder for fast, one-man bleeding. The ECS Clutch Bleeder Block does not have the fluid restriction found in the original. Meant to dampen clutch engagement, the restriction softens clutch operation, a characteristic favored by the average driver. The APR Pendulum mount replaces the factory mount with a new, thick, billet-aluminum and billet-stainless-steel two-piece design, featuring a PTFE-lined spherical bearing and new bolts. The system stiffens the driveline to improve shift quality and power transition. It is easy to install, addresses all concerns with the factory setup and includes all necessary hardware to bolt on and enjoy! Quick Facts: Reduces transmission movementBy removing the factory rubber bushing, the APR system reduces slop in the driveline to improve shifts, and transmission of power to the ground. Expect a sportier feel during acceleration, deceleration and gear changes without an excessive increase in NVH when paired with the factory sub-frame mount. Spherical bearingSpherical bearings offer far less unwanted movement over rubber and polyurethane inserts. As such, the APR mount uses a spherical bearing, made possible by upgrading the rear mounting hardware. The bearing is fully-serviceable, features a heat-treated race and precision-ground ball, with a self-sealing and self-lubricating PTFE lining. The 034Motorsport MQB Upper Dogbone Mount Insert (patent pending) is required for any MQB platform MkVII Volkswagen Golf/GTI/R, 8V/8V.5 Audi A3/S3/RS3 & MkIII Audi TT/TTS/TTRS using an aftermarket dogbone mount and lower dogbone mount insert.Aggressive driving that causes violent drivetrain movement, such as burn-outs and wheel-hop, will cause the upper and lower dogbone mount assembly to exert a bending moment on the dogbone mount arm, causing it to bend, and in some cases fail.When this failure occurs, the bottom of the engine is unconstrained and the engine will cause damage to other components in the engine bay. The 034Motorsport MQB Upper Dogbone Mount Insert eliminates these bending forces, allowing the dogbone mount to perform flawlessly during these violent events.Installation: To install, you will need to remove the pendulum mount and undo the front anti-roll bar mounting bolts in order to lift the anti-roll bar out of the way. The upper dogbone mount insert then simply slides in position from the top. Once the 'window' area is aligned, the anti-roll bar can then be bolted back in position and the pendulum mount re-fitted.
