This valve kit is an evolution of the FMARSDV dump valve we market for the 8P chassis RS3. It was developed for those who have tuned, or plan to tune, their 8S chassis Audi TTRS or 8V chassis Audi RS3 in excess of 450hp. Audi have seen fit to not change the design of the OEM dump valve from the previous RS3, so the same issues are carried over to the new 8V chassis, namely it was observed that cars over 450bhp were randomly getting errors from the stock solenoid dump valve not functioning. Whilst the stock valve will operate as designed, with the boost level necessary for 450bhp the stock valve couldn’t move the volume of air it needed to, so the ECU was seeing too great a positive boost in the MAP readings between gearchanges and assuming the stock valve wasn’t functioning correctly. We looked closely at this issue, and noted that there would be no real fix for this as the size of the hole for the valve is too small in the stock elbow. We decided that we would re-design and produce our own elbow, allowing a much larger DV port, which in turn would allow fitment of a larger valve to take advantage of it. We also improved the internal flow of the elbow and removed restriction within the valve. This valve kit allows the fitment of a fast response blow off valve on the VW Up 1.0 TSI/GTI engine. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge Motorsport have developed a twin piston dump valve that not only gives you an incredibly loud sound when lifting off the throttle but it also increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag, it is designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, as well as prolonging the life of your turbo. Please select the valve and hose colours using the options above. Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of an engines heat cycle, the plastic the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. This kit totally replaces this plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicon hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions. Anodised CNC machined billet couplers and components along with a tuneable CNC machined twin piston Forge Motorsport valve. The Splitter is a truly remarkable valve that gives a combination of blow off and recirculation valve operation, all at the same time, and has been specifically designed for the many turbo engined applications that operate metered airflow management systems. This means you get all the noise of the blow off valve whilst retaining the compatibility with the recirculation requirements of the engine management system. As a bonus we also offer the ability to convert the valve to recirculation only mode for those times when stealth running is required. This valve uses a Brass piston which utilises new sealing technology along with a variable spring preload, incorporating a ratchet type top adjuster that will allow for the positive and precise adjustment to match the valve to your engine. This is achieved by using a unique single, conical, progressive rate spring, that can allow for the retention of boost pressure over a wide adjustment range. This unique spring design also allows for unrestricted piston travel and flow volume regardless of the amount of pre-load adjustment added to the spring. Other manufacturers' valves use cylindrical springs with adjustable pre-load, which often experience restricted piston travel and a reduction in flow volume. Now you can fine tune your Blow Off/Diverter Valve to the exact needs of your engine with this complete tuning kit. If you are finding that the valve is dumping more than required, or if you are losing boost pressure it is normally an indication that a stronger spring is required. Alternatively, if the valve is failing to dump it may be necessary to install a weaker spring. The Forge RS valve has been specifically designed and engineered to offer extreme flow rate capability, where other valves are just not up to it. Often when engines have been tuned by installing larger turbos or even software upgrades improved turbo response can be acheived by fitting the RS valve which has the greater internal mass air flow specification utilising an amazing 50mm (2") bore. For fine tuning there is a variable spring preload incorporated and a ratchet type top adjuster that will allow for the positive and precise adjustment that your driving style demands. To ease installation a 360 degree adjustable vacuum hose connector. With a choice of inlet and outlet connections the RS valve can be matched to your engine perfectly. This valve incorporates a unique conical, progressive rate spring that can allow for the retention of boost pressure from 7 to 22 PSI depending on the individual user's application and level of adjustment. The Splitter is a truly remarkable valve that gives a combination of blow off and recirculation valve operation all at the same time and has been specifically designed for the many turbo engined applications that operate metered airflow management sysyems.
