Now you can fine tune your Blow Off/Diverter Valve to the exact needs of your engine with this complete tuning kit. If you are finding that the valve is dumping more than required, or if you are losing boost pressure it is normally an indication that a stronger spring is required. Alternatively, if the valve is failing to dump it may be necessary to install a weaker spring. Please note that fitting a stronger spring into a valve will not increase boost pressure, unless existing pressure is being lost. Failure to allow the valve to operate by installing a spring which is too strong, may cause damage to the turbocharger. This valve kit is for VAG vehicles equipped with the 1.4 TSI twincharged (supercharged and turbocharged) engines that have the electronically controlled bypass valves (2 bolt fitting). It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures of the OEM valve, that have occurred. Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering both significantly improved reliability. Our valve and installation kit replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation. This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for at, or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stiffer spring upon request. This valve kit is for VAG vehicles equipped with the 1.4 TSI twincharged (supercharged and turbocharged) engines that have the electronically controlled bypass valves (2 bolt fitting).
