    TECHNICAL DATA As part of our expanding Audi/VW and Seat product ranges, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our uprated auxiliary radiators for DSG or engine coolant suitable for track or fast road use. The IssueDuring extended periods of track or fast road use, particularly for cars with increased power, both the DSG transmission’s oil and the engine’s coolant can reach temperatures that are too high to offer sufficient cooling protection properties. As a result, there is risk of damaging the transmission and/or engine, so the car’s ECU will automatically limit the engine’s torque output and extend the gearbox’s shift times, which makes it feel notably less responsive and eager. It can even cause permanent damage, if it persistently overheats. The SolutionAIRTEC Motorsport’s solution to improving the DSG’s and engine’s running temperatures is to increase the size, capacity and ability of the original auxiliary radiators mounted behind either side of the bumper. By utilising the available space, we developed a replacement radiator that’s wider and thicker. This means capacity is increased by a huge 67% over standard, whilst frontal area is also increased  to help sufficiently cool the extra capacity. The core also features a quadruple pass design, which forces coolant entering it to pass up and down the core four times before it exits, increasing the time the coolant passes through the radiator to further decrease temperatures. The result is a radiator that is able to keep cooler for longer, therefore helping the car run at its optimum for longer. Despite the increases, the radiators fit neatly behind the bumper and requires only minor trimming of the original air duct to fit, otherwise using the OEM mounts and the original coolant connectors. To protect the larger radiator core from road debris, there is also a (removable) stone guard. Finished in a high-quality powder-coated black finish, the comprehensive fitting kit includes all fixtures and a detailed instruction fitting guide.     TECHNICAL DATA AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit for Mk7 Golf R   Following an extensive development process over the past year, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch its new oil cooler kit aimed at modified Golf R owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use.   Our kit has been designed in the UK after thorough research. The challenge was to integrate a large capacity, external oil-cooler, mounted behind the grille for direct airflow. This would replace the basic OEM oil heat-exchanger but would still integrate seamlessly by utilising the car’s original oil take-off fittings.   The comprehensive package we subsequently developed includes AIRTEC Motorsport’s CNC, billet take-off adapter, an AIRTEC oil cooler, a laser-cut oil cooler bracket, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings and all fixtures and fittings including instructions, for a bolt-on installation.   The kit has undergone extensive testing on race tracks throughout Europe to ensure engine running temperatures remain low and steady in a variety of different climates. As with all AIRTEC products, the intercooler was tested back-to-back on the dyno against the OEM item. This showed a huge reduction in air charge temperatures over standard. Our test car was fitted with a Cobra cat-back exhaust system and running Revo Stage 1 software. Stock intercooler temps reduce to an average of 64 degrees and peak at 68 degrees (after 5 back-to-back runs). On the Stage 1 Revo software, the car struggled to produce a peak power increase of 40bhp, due to the restrictive and inefficient OEM VW intercooler being unable to cool the intake temperatures effectively. With the AIRTEC intercooler fitted, the IAT saw a huge drop of 120 degrees, keeping temps much closer to ambient temperature and proving to be more reliable run after run. This gave a huge increase in performance, shown by the dyno test results from AmD Tuning rolling road test day. BIG BOOST PIPE KIT AIRTEC Motorsport big boost pipe kit for the MQB EA888.3 platform. Designed to increase power and torque figures by replacing the standard restrictive boost pipes and improving air flow. With larger internal diameters on the pipework, less restriction means a smoother air flow and an increase of power. Kit comprises of smooth larger, mandrel bent hard pipes and is supplied with a full set of Pro Hoses silicone hoses including from the turbo outlet to the hot-side boost pipe. The AIRTEC big boost pipe kit is designed as a direct replacement of the OEM parts, eliminating restrictions found on the stock charge pipe while allowing enough clearance from engine parts, increasing performance in the process. We have designed the kit using 63mm hot-side pipework to keep air speed high and reduce the effects of turbo lag on big power cars. For the cold-side pipework this increases to a massive 70mm to ensure maximum air flow and volume is achieved at the throttle body to maximise performance.
