The latest addition to the VTA range is a blow-off valve designed specifically for late-model Audi, VW, Skoda, and SEAT 1.2 and 1.4TSI models. These engines come from the factory with no diverter valve of any kind, which results in turbo compressor surge every time the throttle is closed after boosting. The intake is acoustically tuned to suppress the fluttering sound of compressor surge, but it does not eliminate the effect of pressure pulses – that is what diverter and blow-off valves were originally designed to do. The GFB VTA re-introduces a blow-off valve into the 1.2/1.4 TSI system, which eliminates compressor surge to protect the turbo, and delivers the signature blow-off “whoosh” when lifting off the throttle. Because these engines do not run a MAF sensor, there is no chance of adverse drivability or fuelling issues. The VTA clips directly into the turbo’s charge piping, replacing a short plastic joiner with a billet CNC machined section onto which the VTA mounts. The kit also includes a boost tee and vacuum hose that clips onto one of the manifold vacuum ports to source a vacuum signal for the VTA valve. This boost tee has a second port that can be used to connect a boost gauge (not included), or plugged off if not required. The whole kit can be fitted in minutes with no tools.   VTA or DV+?Depends if you want sound or not. Both valves are constructed with the same quality materials and valve mechanism, and both offer the same performance and reliability benefits. However, the VTA vents to atmosphere for sound whilst the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Why choose a VTA over a “BOV spacer”?“BOV spacers” are cheap and they make sound. But that’s it. All the inherent performance and reliability issues you get with the factory diverter valve remain, because a spacer doesn’t change the diverter valve in any way. The VTA improves the operation of the diverter valve for sound AND performance. Why choose a VTA over a kit that includes a solenoid?Because there’s no performance benefit to replacing the factory solenoid, only a much higher price! If a VTA with the factory solenoid can open in a couple of hundredths of a second, why pay more than you need to?         VTA BLOW-OFF VALVES ARE CONSTRUCTED WITH THE SAME MATERIALS AND VALVE MECHANISM AS THE DV+, AND THEY OFFER THE EXACT SAME PERFORMANCE AND BOOST HOLDING. HOWEVER, VENTING TO ATMOSPHERE GIVES IT THE SIGNATURE BLOW-OFF SOUND, WHILST THE DV+ KEEPS THINGS QUIET. COMPETITORS' PRODUCTS FOR THE SAME VEHICLES THAT MAKE SOUND (I.E. BOV "SPACERS") TYPICALLY RETAIN THE PERFORMANCE DEFICIENCIES OF THE FACTORY DIVERTER VALVE, DELETE THE ECU CONTROL, OR REQUIRE FREQUENT MAINTENANCE AND REBUILDS. THE VTA ON THE OTHER HAND IS THE COMPLETE PACKAGE - PERFORMANCE, FIT, RELIABILITY, AND SOUND!   Like the DV+, GFB’s VTA range of BOVs utilise GFB’s proven TMS Technology to ensure rapid boost recovery on gearshift and optimum throttle response, as well as superior boost holding. However, where the DV+ and the VTA range differ is what they do with the vented air. VTA BOVs vent to atmosphere to make the signature turbo blow-off sound, where the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Each valve in the VTA range is designed specifically for the applications we list them for, ensuring the best fit and performance. Most of the VTA range are designed for use on cars with solenoid type factory diverter valves, and in those cases the VTA kit will retain the solenoid and ECU control. Like the DV+ though, it replaces the weak factory valve internals to ensure strength and reliability, especially in high boost applications. Other versions of the VTA are designed for use on cars that do not have any kind of factory fitted diverter valve. Vehicle manufacturers have deleted the troublesome solenoid type diverter valve from some of the newer models, but this leads to turbo compressor surge which can be taxing on the turbo in the long run. The VTA is a performance blow-off valve solution for Audi, VW, Skoda and SEAT vehicles with an electronic factory diverter valve. If you want sound with your performance (or performance with your sound!), GFB’s VTA delivers just that! By combining the proven performance benefits of our ground-breaking DV+ with atmosphere venting, the VTA delivers an aggressive blow-off sound, improved throttle response and boost recovery, as well as superior boost holding and reliability in extreme conditions. The VTA shares the successful DV+ design philosophy: “Keep what works, replace what doesn’t” This means we retain ECU control and the solenoid from the factory diverter to ensure the fastest possible response time, without the added and unnecessary cost of replacing the solenoid like some brands do. The weak part of the factory diverter has always been the plastic valve mechanism – this is the part we replace. The VTA features CNC machined billet components that last a lifetime, and we also change the valve operation method for better performance. The factory diverter valve can only operate in two states – open, or closed. When it opens fully at low boost, or during a partial throttle lift mid-corner, it causes increased lag and a noticeably non-linear boost transition. GFB pioneered the use of “pilot operation” in the DV+, which works by repurposing the factory solenoid to control the pressure behind the piston rather than the piston itself. This allows the solenoid stroke to be much shorter, speeding up the response time and increasing the actuation force. More importantly, it allows the piston to open and close progressively in response to the amount of boost pressure present, which smooths boost transitions and reduces the lag caused by the factory diverter valve. It is this design philosophy that makes the VTA not only the best performing blow off valve solution, but also the best value on the market.   VTA or DV+?Depends if you want sound or not. Both valves are constructed with the same quality materials and valve mechanism, and both offer the same performance and reliability benefits. However, the VTA vents to atmosphere for sound whilst the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Why choose a VTA over a “BOV spacer”?“BOV spacers” are cheap and they make sound. But that’s it. All the inherent performance and reliability issues you get with the factory diverter valve remain, because a spacer doesn’t change the diverter valve in any way. The VTA improves the operation of the diverter valve for sound AND performance. Why choose a VTA over a kit that includes a solenoid?Because there’s no performance benefit to replacing the factory solenoid, only a much higher price! If a VTA with the factory solenoid can open in a couple of hundredths of a second, why pay more than you need to?       VTA BLOW-OFF VALVES ARE CONSTRUCTED WITH THE SAME MATERIALS AND VALVE MECHANISM AS THE DV+, AND THEY OFFER THE EXACT SAME PERFORMANCE AND BOOST HOLDING. HOWEVER, VENTING TO ATMOSPHERE GIVES IT THE SIGNATURE BLOW-OFF SOUND, WHILST THE DV+ KEEPS THINGS QUIET. COMPETITORS' PRODUCTS FOR THE SAME VEHICLES THAT MAKE SOUND (I.E. BOV "SPACERS") TYPICALLY RETAIN THE PERFORMANCE DEFICIENCIES OF THE FACTORY DIVERTER VALVE, DELETE THE ECU CONTROL, OR REQUIRE FREQUENT MAINTENANCE AND REBUILDS. THE VTA ON THE OTHER HAND IS THE COMPLETE PACKAGE - PERFORMANCE, FIT, RELIABILITY, AND SOUND! Like the DV+, GFB’s VTA range of BOVs utilise GFB’s proven TMS Technology to ensure rapid boost recovery on gearshift and optimum throttle response, as well as superior boost holding. However, where the DV+ and the VTA range differ is what they do with the vented air. VTA BOVs vent to atmosphere to make the signature turbo blow-off sound, where the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Each valve in the VTA range is designed specifically for the applications we list them for, ensuring the best fit and performance. Most of the VTA range are designed for use on cars with solenoid type factory diverter valves, and in those cases the VTA kit will retain the solenoid and ECU control. Like the DV+ though, it replaces the weak factory valve internals to ensure strength and reliability, especially in high boost applications. Other versions of the VTA are designed for use on cars that do not have any kind of factory fitted diverter valve. Vehicle manufacturers have deleted the troublesome solenoid type diverter valve from some of the newer models, but this leads to turbo compressor surge which can be taxing on the turbo in the long run. This product only works in conjunction with FMINDK35. After the success of the FMDV22 Forge Motorsport has now developed a recirculating Valve option for the VAG 1.5 TSI engine. It uses our tried and tested FMDV008 recirculation valve, this valve has been with us for some time and has proved time and again to be tough, durable and ultra-reliable. By adding this valve, it prevents turbo surge and prolongs the life of your engine’s turbocharger. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge have reused our tried and tested FMDV008 valve that increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag. It has been designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, whilst also taking the strain away from the impeller. Without removing this stress from your turbo, it could cause premature failure, especially on engines and modified vehicles. Like with all our valves you are able to customise it to fit your application with two uprated springs provided in the kit. Due to its clever design, changing the spring is a very simple process, simply undo the fasteners attaching the valve top and remove the spring. Its that easy! Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of an engines heat cycle, the plastic the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. This kit totally replaces this plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicone hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions. •    Anodised CNC machined billet couplers and components along with a tuneable CNC machined twin piston Forge Motorsport valve•    Custom colours are available but will incur a 50% none refundable deposit and a lead time of 8-10 weeks•    Unlike other valves on the market the Forge valve will not bring on any check engine lights (EML) •    The Forge silicone hose in this kit has been designed to include a quality inner liner of modified silicone known as Fluorosilicone. Especially on engines and modified vehicles. This valve kit allows the fitment of our fast response blow off valve preventing turbo surge and prolonging the life of your engine’s turbocharger.   The kit includes all of the necessary hardware and step by step installation instructions for any car enthusiast with appropriate garage tools to fit at home, in just a couple of hours!     Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of heat cycle, the plastic that the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time, becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. Now you can fine tune your Blow Off/Diverter Valve to the exact needs of your engine with this complete tuning kit. If you are finding that the valve is dumping more than required, or if you are losing boost pressure it is normally an indication that a stronger spring is required. Alternatively, if the valve is failing to dump it may be necessary to install a weaker spring. Please note that fitting a stronger spring into a valve will not increase boost pressure, unless existing pressure is being lost. Failure to allow the valve to operate by installing a spring which is too strong, may cause damage to the turbocharger. Product Description The Forge Motorsport dump valve for the 2015-on 1.2 TSI engine codes CJZA, CJZC, CJZD, CYVB as found in the Skoda Fabia, Skoda Octavia, VW Golf, VW Polo, Audi A1, Audi A3, Seat Ibiza and Seat Leon. Please note this kit is only compatible with models that do not have a standard turbo mounted diverter valve. Earlier models that have a turbo mounted diverter valve as standard require the kit with part number FMDVA1TSI and FMDVATSI The 1.2 and 1.4 TSI doesn’t have a dump valve from the factory, so this product allows you to have the traditional dump valve noise between gear changes and when letting off the gas pedal. It won’t bring on any check engine lights and the car will drive just as before. This kit totally replaces the plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicon hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions. Unlike other valves on the market the Forge valve will not bring on any check engine lights. ( EML )  The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Flurosilicone. This means the hoses are suitable to be used with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (O.A.T.) and oil mist. Forge Motorsport is proud to release the latest version of our very popular solenoid driven valve for the 2013-on VAG 1.8 TSI engine (US codes CPKA and CPRA) and 2.0 TSI engine (Euro code CNTA, CHHA, CHHB, CJXB and CJXC;US codes CPLA and CPPA)  including Golf MK7 R. This valve is a full replacement atmospheric blow-off valve (i.e. noisy) that integrates seamlessly with the OEM electronics and results in no detriment in performance, and absolutely NO fault codes or check engine lights, which isn’t something that can be said of our competition! Like our full replacement recirculating valve option, this valve is fully engineered to remedy the failure issues experienced with the OEM solenoid valves when their diaphragm may rupture which results in a boost leak. The later revision OEM valves have a longer lift but ultimately the plastic brittles and in extreme circumstances, parts of the plastic can break off. This valve kit is for VAG vehicles equipped with the 1.4 TSI twincharged (supercharged and turbocharged) engines that have the electronically controlled bypass valves (2 bolt fitting).
