As part of our expanding Toyota product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our inlet manifold upgrade aimed at modified Yaris GR owners who want to further improve the performance of their cars for track or fast road use.
The DesignWe wanted to develop a manifold with an improved design to allow more flow, whilst introducing longer inlet runners to help produce more power at lower engine speed. We also wanted to incorporate a design that increased air flow balance across the three cylinders. Crucially, we were also determined to create a true direct replacement manifold that required no further modifications, such as custom fabrication or a costly aftermarket ECU. After a thorough development process that saw us simulate and test several different designs, the result is a manifold unlike any other on the market.
Tested – Increased and Balanced FlowOur freer-flowing design measured an improvement in flow of 36% in comparison to the original. Furthermore, by flow testing the original manifold and using runner number two as the benchmark, our test data revealed runner number one flowed a 13% difference on average whilst runner number three flowed an 11% difference on average.In direct comparison, the same test conducted on our AIRTEC Motorsport manifold revealed a difference of just 2% on runner number one and only 4% on runner number three, therefore providing much more equal balance across the cylinders, which is crucial for safe and efficient fuelling as well as consistent power and torque.
Direct Replacement Fit We also completed our secondary goal of ensuring the manifold was a true direct replacement by utilising the original throttle body and pipework. The manifold also includes moulded fixing tabs to secure the coolant lines and wiring loom, which secure in place as per the original. Lastly, the manifold allows the original rubber gaskets to transfer over for a simple and easy installation process. If you have an AIRTEC Motorsport catch can fitted, please choose from the drop down menu, as the breather fittings require different take offs.Please note: the manifold has been designed to also allow a larger 54mm throttle body to fit if preferred, but this will require additional works to the boost pipework and ECU.

Dyno TestedThe manifold was tested on our own demonstration Yaris GR fitted with a big turbo conversion, Syvecs ECU and all associated modifications. With no changes (no mapping or increased boost) a back-to-back test revealed the fitment of the manifold alone saw power increase from 405.2bhp to 415.0bhp – an increase of nearly 10bhp with no other modifications. Response also appeared to increase lower in the rev range and with mapping to suit, further increases would likely to be seen.

Made from high-quality aluminium, the replacement intake pipe measures 70mm in diameter to improve internal capacity whilst the design allows a smoother flow in comparison to the original pipework that varies in diameter as it routes around the engine.

Designed to increase flow to the air filter, these simple yet effective additional feeds scoop fresh air from the behind the kidney grilles and force it through the original air feed, towards the air filter.

As part of our expanding BMW product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our induction kit upgrade for the BMW G87 M2, G80 M3 and G82 M4 models, suitable for track or fast road use.
Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to improving the original air intake system to allow more flow whilst maintaining low intake temperatures, therefore improving response, sound and aesthetics within the engine bay.
Having previously designed a number of enclosed induction kits for other performance models, we were keen to develop an intake package for the G8x series to offer significant improvements over standard and compared to other kits on the market.
We began with a 3D scan of the engine bay so we could use a CAD program to calculate the most efficient use of space with a perfect fitment.
As a result, we chose to utilise the original BMW air box bases with enlarged, two-piece laser cut lids. This increases the capacity of the air boxes to allow the fitment of 80mm cone air filters whilst retaining the original front air feed that ensures a constant flow of fresh air is forced into the air box.
The lids feature vents to encourage the flow of air by allowing it to pass by the filter and then exit. Our perfectionist design engineer team also ensured the two air box lids locate perfectly parallel to the strut brace for a balanced aesthetic within the engine bay.
The right-hand intake pipe retains the original fittings but features an uninterrupted 80mm diameter throughout to ensure the least restriction all the way to the turbo, whilst the connectors are CNC-machined and allow the use of the original O-rings and tension clips. Using the original air box bases also allows the original rubber mountings to be retained, which reduces vibration.
The result is increased power, improved throttle response, heightened induction noise and a more pleasing look to the engine bay.
The kit is a direct replacement that requires no additional drilling or cutting to fit and comes complete with all the correct fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed installation instructions.

As part of our expanding BMW product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our enlarged turbo inlet upgrade for the S55 engine fitted with hybrid turbos.
A direct replacement part that offers increases in performance and response, the enlarged turbo inlets feature a freer-flowing design with an increased internal diameter, which is essential when fitting hybrid turbos.
How it works
The original elbows from the air boxes are made from plastic and gradually taper down from 80mm to just 54mm and then 41mm as they enter the turbos. Whilst this is adequate for standard turbo cars, when fitting hybrid turbos, which consume more air, the original elbows can cause an unnecessary restriction that hampers flow when pushing for more power.
Our AIRTEC Motorsport direct replacement inlets have been designed in-house to feature pipework that very gently tapers to 64mm in diameter as they reach the turbo inlet, therefore removing the stepped restriction and allowing the maximum amount of internal flow, with increases of nearly 35% compared to standard.
The elbow upgrade includes pipework for both front and rear turbos and includes all fixtures and fittings.
PLEASE NOTE: We recommend these are fitted at the same time the hybrid turbos are installed and therefore do not provide fitting instructions for this product.
