Our kit has been designed in the UK after thorough research and huge experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars. The challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler mounted neatly behind the grille for direct airflow, whilst integrating seamlessly with the car’s existing fixtures and fittings with no drilling or cutting required. As a result, we have developed a kit that is completely reversible if need be. The comprehensive package includes a tried and tested 13-row AIRTEC oil cooler, bespoke laser-cut and powdercoated AIRTEC brackets, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings, and all fixtures, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. This Oil Cooler kit has been specifically designed to fit the VW T5.1 fitted with the twin turbo diesel engine (180hp). The kit includes a filter sandwich adaptor which incorporates a thermostat, so that the additional cooling only takes place when required. The kit also includes a 13 row oil cooler and braided oil hoses, mounting brackets, and everything else required. Please note: This product can only be installed in combination with our Intercooler FMINTVWT52 This kit is ideally suited to tuned vehicles or those that will experience extended periods of additional load e.g. when towing, or when operating in warm climates. This kit has been designed to address the weakness of the stock oil cooler – the cooler fitted to your car from Audi is aluminium, but the fittings on the ends of the cooler hoses are steel. The result is corrosion between the two different metals which cracks the fittings over time, causing a slow oil leak that gets worse with age, and eventually ends in a catastrophic failure of the oil cooler lines - and if you are unlucky, the engine too. Due to the corrosion setting in on the lines, they usually cannot be removed from the oil cooler without damaging it. This results in the need for the oil cooler and both lines to be replaced at a cost of over £1100 from the dealer, before you factor in consumables and labour to change the parts. Our solution uses tried and test products. It is a full replacement right from the fitting on the engine block which is precision made from 6082 billet aluminium, and then anodised to prevent any possibility of corrosion. This fitting leads to -12 AN Hose Technik black anodised aluminium fittings on Hose Technik braided lines with black overbraid. Cooling is accomplished by a 19 row Setrab oil cooler, the same manufacturer that supplies Audi and several F1 teams, again with a black finish. All the mating parts are similar materials and are tried and tested in Motorsport - there is no fear of corrosion affecting the fittings after a few years of use. The cooler is supported on a laser cut and powder coated frame that also holds the Audi fan control module in place. With everything finished in black, it makes for the ultimate stealth installation and unless you know what you are looking for, you won’t see it. The original remit of this replacement was to do away with all the troublesome Audi parts, which this kit accomplishes, but by relocating the oil cooler slightly higher than stock, we have also reduced the chances of damage from road debris. PLEASE NOTE: This Oil Cooler Kit has been designed for use in conjunction with the Forge Motorsport front mount intercooler (FMINT500). It will not fit with the OEM intercooler. Forge Motorsport cannot confirm fitment with any other manufacturers' aftermarket intercooler. The Forge Motorsport oil cooler kit for the Fiat 500/595/695 uses a custom fabricated oil cooler with a large core dimension of 165(w) x 200(h) x 47mm(d). Although there are lots of universal oil coolers on the market, this oil cooler has been specifically designed to fit perfectly in the Fiats OEM intercoolers location, The oil cooler is manufactured at Forge Motorsport’s HQ in Gloucestershire, England by our highly skilled fabricators and carries a lifetime warranty*.Sitting in full air flow and mounted correctly with the oil flowing into the top of the oil cooler and exiting though the lower outlet, this avoids any chance of cavitation occurring within the oil cooler. Many people mount their oil coolers incorrectly which in turn stops them from working as well as they could. The oil filter housing on modern Fiat engines does not allow for the previously common take off plates to fit under the filter and divert oil into an oil cooler mounted elsewhere on the vehicle. Instead they now use an oil to water cooling ‘block’ bolted to the front of the engine, and in many cases an undersized filter or a paper drop in element, which prevents easy fitting of an oil cooler. As many people have found, if the vehicle is tuned or driven hard, oil temperatures can rocket to over 120°C (250°F) being easily achieved, which is close to the point that engine oil starts to break down. Therefore, it is essential to fit a Forge Motorsport oil cooler to your modified Fiat 500. Forge Motorsport have designed a CNC machined billet adaptor that replaces the oil to water cooling block. Although it still allows coolant to circulate, it more importantly offers two AN-10 take offs which allow fitment of the supplied oil cooler lines between the cooler itself and the Fiats engine oil galleries. In turn, this means oil temperatures can be significantly reduced resulting in an engine that can be worked harder for longer. The whole oil cooler unit has been designed to use the OEM intercoolers ducting to ensure maximum airflow is achieved creating the most superior oil kit on the market that is 100% plug and play. While developing and testing our range of chargecooler radiators of Mercedes flagship A45 AMG, we took the time to develop a DSG oil cooler kit to reduce the high DSG gearbox oil temperature experienced under prolonged and high loads testing.    The large 13-row oil cooler is installed in the nearside lower bumper vent aperture that is unused on UK vehicles. This position allows optimum airflow to reduce oil temperatures. Rising oil temperatures will result in only one outcome, a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components. Therefore, the FMOC11 is a must have product for the keen driver, the location of the oil cooler radiator at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill allows for superior air flow. During our development of this product we have seen oil temperatures reduced significantly. The Hyundai oil cooler has its inlet and outlets placed in the correct position for optimum flow , when oil coolers are fitted upside-down this can lead to cavitation (air locks) within the system, this can over a prolonged period of time lead to engine fatigue and potentially internal component damage due to insufficient engine lubrication. Unlike many oil cooler kits, the FMOC11 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position. This essentially doubles your engines oil cooling. We’ve also developed the kit to use a bespoke laser cut aluminium bracket which makes for perfect fitment to the i30N crash bar. Supplied with the kit are 2x pre-assembled, high quality double braided AN-8 oil lines. The oil filter housing on modern VAG engines does not allow for the previously common takeoff plates to fit under the filter and divert oil into an oil cooler mounted elsewhere on the vehicle. Instead they now use a oil to water cooling ‘block’ bolted to the front of the engine, and in many cases an undersize filter, or a paper drop in element, which prevents easy fitting of an oil cooler. As many people have found, if the vehicle is tuned, or if it is towing a heavy load, oil temperatures can rocket, with oil temperatures over 120°C (250°F) being easily achieved, which is close to the point that engine oil starts to break down. The Forge Motorsport FMOC2 replaces the oil to water cooling block, and although it still allows coolant to circulate, it more importantly gives two M22 takeoffs which, when fitted with the appropriate adaptor, allow fitment of oil cooler lines between an -6 and an -10 in size which can then be attached to an external oil cooler. Oil temperatures are stabilised, and engines can be worked harder for longer. To confirm fitment, please check the list of compatible vehilces below. This plate replaces the VAG OEM Part No. 03L 117 021 C. It fits ALL of the 2.0TDi and 1.6 TDi engines in the vehicles listed below. The challenge was to integrate a large capacity, external oil-cooler, mounted behind the grille for direct airflow. This would replace the basic OEM oil heat-exchanger but would still integrate seamlessly by utilising the car’s original oil take-off fittings.   The comprehensive package we subsequently developed includes AIRTEC Motorsport’s CNC, billet take-off adapter, an AIRTEC oil cooler, a laser-cut oil cooler bracket, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings and all fixtures and fittings including instructions, for a bolt-on installation.   The kit has undergone extensive testing on race tracks throughout Europe to ensure engine running temperatures remain low and steady in a variety of different climates.
