TECHNICAL DATA As part of our expanding Mk8.5 Fiesta platform product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our additional cold air feed guide to suit ST models fitted with our Stage 3 intercooler kit. During the development of our AIRTEC Motorsport enclosed air box and oil cooler kits, we created an additional cold air feed solution for cars fitted with our Stage 3 intercooler to further improve the cooling ability and reduce air intake temperatures on track or during fast road use. This was accomplished by utilising the space in the upper right-hand section of the grille area, which allowed us to neatly design a bolt-on air duct to guide cold air through trunking to either the Enclosed Induction Kit or our AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit. Made from aluminium, the cold air feed comes with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed instructions, making it an ideal addition for all cars fitted with an AIRTEC Motorsport Stage 3 intercooler. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to improving the car’s oil cooling ability for modified Mk8.5 ST owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use. With vast experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler neatly behind the front bumper. However, the Mk8.5 Fiesta has very limited available space directly behind the open grille area, which meant we developed an innovative solution that mounts the oil cooler in front of the right-hand side arch liner and is fed a constant flow of cool air by an air feed duct that’s included in the kit. The package also includes a AIRTEC Motorsport oil cooler, bespoke laser-cut and powder coated AIRTEC brackets, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings, a thermostat-controlled sandwich plate and all fixtures and fittings, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. As part of our expanding Fiesta Mk8 ST product range, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our enlarged hot side suitable for track or fast road use. A direct replacement part that gives increases in response and sound by eliminating the internal sound suppressors built into the original boost pipe from the turbo. Ford fit these suppressors to reduce noise and resonation but by replacing the pipe for one without the baffled internals, flow and internal capacity is improved, as well as noise. This increases throttle response and heightens the soundtrack from within the car. Made from high quality aluminium, the pipe also offers a 43% increase in size, maintaining a constant 57mm internal diameter throughout, compared to the 40mm of the standard item, and features a design with less bends and restrictions. It also features a powder-coated black finish for a subtle OEM+ look. In order to ensure there is no noticeable loss in performance during extended periods of hard driving, we have developed a larger, freer-flowing intercooler that is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM item. Slotting in between our Stage 1 and Stage 3 solutions, our mid-range intercooler’s size and performance has been increased within the confines of the limited space behind the bumper based upon a core design that is much taller. This offers a massive increase in overall capacity in comparison to the original intercooler, as well as a huge increase in frontal area over standard, which allows it to make the most of the air flow provided. Together with our high-flow, moulded one-piece cast end tanks to ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume over standard. Available in a high quality powder coated black finish, the comprehensive kit is a direct replacement and attaches to the original boost pipes and clips. It comes complete with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed fitting instructions.
