A direct replacement part that gives increases in response and sound by eliminating the internal sound suppressors built into the original boost pipe from the turbo. Ford fit these suppressors to reduce noise and resonation but by replacing the pipe for one without the baffled internals, flow and internal capacity is improved, as well as noise. Slotting in between our Stage 1 and Stage 3 solutions, our mid-range intercooler’s size and performance has been increased within the confines of the limited space behind the bumper based upon a core design that is much taller. This offers a massive increase in overall capacity in comparison to the original intercooler, as well as a huge increase in frontal area over standard, which allows it to make the most of the air flow provided. Together with our high-flow, moulded one-piece cast end tanks to ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume over standard. AIRTEC Motorsport MIL light cheater. If you fit a de-cat or high flow sports catalyst to your car, you could run the risk of having an engine light turn on. This is usually due to the fact that the sensor is reading the added exhaust gas flow and it could identify this as a fault. This lambda sensor extension may solve this problem easily, however we do recommend a re-map to ensure the issue is resolved.
