When you fit a Forge turbo actuator you will be able to fine tune and manage your specific boost requirements, this will allow for improved response and better control. This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for, or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stronger spring upon request for tuned vehicles, and where a higher boost level is required. Please contact us directly concerning this process. It is designed and built with the intention of increasing the boost output of a turbocharged system. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all applications, nor the ability to increase the boost output beyond a level that is within the parameters set by the engine-management-system of the given vehicle at the time of installation, whether that system is factory or aftermarket Diaphragm sealed internals are the default selection for this actuator product but customers now have the option of piston sealed internals. Unique to Forge Motorsport, this innovation offers equal performance to the diaphragm type and low maintenance due to the hard wearing nature of piston sealed valve internals. Forge Motorsport are proud to offer the latest evolution of our popular direct turbo mounting valve for selected petrol turbocharged VAG engines. This valve represents the latest evolution of part number FMFSITAT, and is a hybrid of sorts, that combines our existing full replacement solenoid controlled recirculating valve with our blow-off valve adapter. The result is a full replacement atmospheric blow-off valve that integrates seamlessly with the OEM electronics and results in absolutely no fault codes, no check engine lights, and no detriment to the performance of the vehicle in any way. Like our full replacement recirculating valve option, the FMFSITVR, the FMFSITAT is fully engineered to remedy the failure issues experienced with the OEM solenoid valves when their diaphragm may rupture which would effectively result in a boost leak. Our valve uses full billet alloy construction with a piston based internal design that provides for significantly improved reliability over the OEM valves along with lightning fast response. This valve is particularly well suited to the B7 and B8 chassis Audi A4 and A5 with the 2.0T engine. The valve mounting location on these vehicles is positioned particularly close to the frame rail of the chassis, and the overall installed height of our standard replacement valve and spacer combination is such that it conflicts with the chassis at this location. The FMFSITAT valve has a much shorter overall installed height, which enables fitment of this atmospheric valve option onto the B7 and B8 chassis whereas this was previously not an option. Another particularly unique feature of this product is the included intake manifold tap used to source a vacuum reference for the operation of the valve. This piece also has two other available provisions from which an intake manifold reference can be taken. These extra manifold references can be used for a boost gauge signal, and even a water/meth injection trigger where applicable. If this to be installed to the 1.4 Turbo engine, it will be necessary to additionally purchase our boost sensor adaptor FMBGFK3 - please see below in Related Products. Note: This will ONLY fit the 1.4 turbo engines up to early 2013, where the turbo is mounted at the front of the engine bay. Now you can fine tune your Blow Off/Diverter Valve to the exact needs of your engine with this complete tuning kit. If you are finding that the valve is dumping more than required, or if you are losing boost pressure it is normally an indication that a stronger spring is required. Alternatively, if the valve is failing to dump it may be necessary to install a weaker spring. Please note that fitting a stronger spring into a valve will not increase boost pressure, unless existing pressure is being lost. Failure to allow the valve to operate by installing a spring which is too strong, may cause damage to the turbocharger. Please also note that the red coded springs should not be installed in the DVR or DV007 diaphragm valves. Valve Spring color coding: Green - 5-15 PSI, Yellow - 15-23 PSI, Blue - 23-30 PSI, Red - 30 + PSI.*The above figures are estimates only and should only be considered as a guideline* Note: Serious or fatal damage may occur to the engine and associated components if this product is incorrectly matched to the individual engine requirements.
