    TURBO INLET HOSE The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose has been designed and engineered to directly replace the stock pipe and elbow found in vehicles with the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines with an IHI turbo. The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose offers a high-quality single piece replacement for the OEM parts which allows for smoother uninterrupted airflow, improving the throttle response and performance of your vehicle. With a generously sized airbox, the standard plastic intake hose causes the most amount of restriction; convolutions designed to allow for engine movement disrupt airflow, a small internal diameter limits the volume of air and a sharp reduction in hose diameter at the turbo causes turbulence.   TURBO INLET The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The machined billet aluminium inlet securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components further ensures uninterrupted airflow and removes any unnecessary turbulence.   SILICONE HOSE DESIGN The Revo Turbo Hose as an increased inner diameter that gradually tapers from airbox to turbo to optimise airflow, while maintaining the tolerances required to fit both LHD and RHD vehicles with a standard airbox. Designed to directly replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range.   A four-ply construction with an internal wire helix increases strength to prevent collapsing under pressure. Internal steps flush fit against the stock airbox and the machined inlet, creating a smooth transition between components ensuring the smoothest airflow possible to the turbo. A machined bung is integrated into the hose, connecting the stock PCV system vacuum.       RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house and are rigorously tested. The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose allows the Stock IS38 turbo to run more efficiently, intake a larger volume of air and minimise turbulence.     REVO AIR INTERCOOLER 1.8/2.0 TFSI The Revo Intercooler utilises unique design features to lower intake air temperatures, minimise pressure drop and allow the engine to produce impressive power and torque with Revo Software. The unique end tank profile promotes internal laminar flow thus decreasing turbulence and increasing airspeed into the bespoke bar and plate core. These features enhance charge air cooling giving you access to more power throughout the rev range. The limitations of the stock intercooler were apparent throughout testing. The stock part consistently struggled to manage charge air temperatures, even under normal driving conditions. The Revo Intercooler has been designed to improve on every restrictive element of the stock cooler, enhancing cooling efficiency by lowering intake air temperatures even compared to the Audi S3 (8P) cast aluminium intercooler, allowing you to drive harder, for longer. Designed from the ground up, the Revo Intercooler has a much larger core volume than the OEM part and offers perfect fitment, improving cooling by utilising the full volume of the stock location space as well as cold ambient air from the front of the vehicle. END TANK DESIGN End tanks play an important part in managing pressure drop and work in harmony with the core to promote airflow, the stock ones are inefficiently designed and create turbulent air in corners. These sections create a naturally small cross-sectional flow area, slowing charge air and increasing pressure drop. The Revo end tank geometry maintains the largest possible cross-sectional flow area to and from the core by removing these turbulent pocket areas found in the OE design. Coupled with a cast interior surface finish, the Revo end tanks allow air to flow freely without obstructions from turbulent air pockets found in the OE intercooler. End tanks play an important part in maintaining pressure and work in harmony with the core to promote airflow, the Revo end tanks are designed to offer the optimal balance between both of these key features.   BAR AND PLATE CORE Designed with a bar and plate core to maximise the efficiency of heat transfer and minimise flow resistance, the Revo Intercooler easily outperforms similar tube and fin alternatives in both aspects. The Revo Intercooler goes a step farther: featuring carefully specified fin sizing and geometry to further optimise the balance between air cooling and flow restriction. The ambient core side utilises shorter fins with specially designed louvres to slow ambient air passing through the core, which improves heat transfer. While the charge core side features an offset internal fin design to balance surface area and air resistance to aid cooling ability and minimise pressure drop.   SILICONE HOSES Supplied with stronger oil resistant silicone hoses, the Revo Intercooler can be installed using the stock pipework or recommended Revo Intercooler pipework (Coming soon). The internal diameter of each silicone is precisely matched to the inner diameter of the ribbed intercooler inlet and outlet connections along with a unique Flush Fit design, allowing a smooth transition between components.   BRACKETS To ensures precision fitment, Only Revo offers a CNC machined bracket system. Produced to a superior tolerance than that of a cast mounting system, this unique feature also ensures that the supporting brackets are strong and less prone to failure.   RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house using the latest 3D printing technology, CAD and CFD software. Every product is rigorously tested utilising an in-house dyno and Revo data acquisition software. The Revo intercooler minimises turbulence while maximising heat transfer, promoting cooler air temperatures and low-pressure drop. This helps retains power and torque throughout of the rev range as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. The Revo Intercooler was tested in-house to compare the performance against that of the stock Intercooler. First tested on a vehicle running the OE S3 (8P) intercooler with a Revo K04 Kit, Revo production KO4 software, a Revo air intake system and full Eurojet exhaust, the Revo Intercooler was then installed and tested in the same controlled environment to highlight the benefits of it's enhanced cooling. PERFORMANCE DATA Golf GTI TSI EA888 Gen1 with Revo K04 upgrade, OE S3 (8P) intercooler and Revo open cone air intake system and full Eurojet exhaust. Showing the last of five consecutive dyno runs, the efficiency of the Revo Intercooler over the OE S3 intercooler is highlighted. With max gains of +8 HP & +11NM Torque, along with increased performance throughout the entire rev range, the stock intercooler struggles to effectively function in comparison to the Revo Intercooler which remained consistent throughout, losing no peak power over the 5 runs. INLET TEMPERATURE This is a metric used to confirm that testing on the Revo Intercooler. This is used to show that the air temperatures going into the intercooler were similar for each test, confirming that outlet temperatures shown in the following graphs are purely down to differences in intercooler design/construction. As can be seen, the inlet temperatures during testing were equal between both coolers, yet the Revo intercooler produced the lower outlet temps proving the cooling efficiency advantage. OUTLET TEMPERETURE This graph illustrates the increased cooling performance of the Revo intercooler vs OEM S3 (8P) aluminium intercooler over all five runs.     The factory 2.0 TFSI air-box works efficiently on a standard vehicle. As power is increased through tuning, however, it quickly becomes a major restriction, reducing the additional power offered. Ensuring the engine can get access to enough air is paramount when increasing power, an open cone air-intake system is the most effective way of achieving this, but not all products are made equal. Having worked with a number of intake solutions during software development, we noticed a lack of high quality and more importantly, high flowing kits available. Working alongside some of the biggest names in the air filter industry, we engineered and designed what is still one of the highest flowing kits available. Pioneering design allows air to reach the turbo as quickly as possible whilst minimising turbulence and restriction. As a result, boost can be maintained for longer, giving you access to more power throughout the rev-range along with a more aggressive sound, and performance you can feel all the way to the redline. BENEFITS Increases power and torque Maintains boost for longer Single piece pipe 25% less restriction Three-layer foam filter Scaled MAF housing CamCoat option available INTAKE PIPE The Revo engineering team knew that to create the most effective kit, every component had to be considered to maximise and smooth airspeed. The system is designed around a lightweight 90mm intake pipe, mandrel bent to maintain the internal diameter in the corners and to create a one-piece solution. This offers superior flow and avoids the air turbulence and resistance experienced on intake kits with multiple sections, usually caused at each join resulting in very turbulent airflow, ultimately restricting performance. MAF SCALING Ensuring correct MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor scaling is the real art when it comes to designing air intake systems if incorrect the intake system can actually reduce power and cause major fuelling issues. The Revo kit integrates the stock MAF sensor in a specifically designed housing on the one-piece pipe to ensure correct scaling during fitment. THREE LAYER FOAM FILTER An intake system is only as good as the filter. This kit comes complete with a tried and tested Revo three-layer foam filter with an impressive 857cm² surface area, supported by galvanised, epoxy-coated mesh to ensure the filter cannot collapse. The filter has a large 180mm external diameter body and a smooth radius aluminium bell mouth, specifically designed for optimum airflow from the filter to pipe-work. Revo three-stage foam filters work very differently to conventional paper or cotton-gauze, which are surface filters designed to trap particles on the outer layer, instantly causing restriction. Revo foam filters work by trapping dirt particles within each of the oiled foam layers, allowing air to negotiate its way through the filter, reducing restriction and offering much longer service intervals. We tested the filter at a leading motor testing centre ‘Mira’ on an industry recognised dust load test. On a full dust load test, the foam filter was found to still be 99.1% efficient, filtering down to 5 microns while offering the least amount of restriction over similar products. HEAT SHIELD The intake system features a laser-cut aluminium heat shield that ensures the filter is well insulated from ambient under-bonnet temperatures. The shielding is designed to utilise the ducting in the factory grill to maximise airflow and prevent heat-soak. SILICONE HOSE The silicone hoses included in the kit are manufactured using high-quality automotive grade silicone, engineered to combine the system using stepped necks to offer a smooth transition of air to avoid turbulence. The turbo inlet hose has also been specifically designed to fit both K03 and K04 turbo powered cars. Larger charge air volume in the system means reduced flow resistance, allowing the turbo to expend more energy on air compression and less energy overcoming restrictions; resulting in more power. CHARGE HOSE DESIGN The Revo charge hose is a smooth custom-designed silicone hose, with a tapered first bend from the turbo outlet to gradually transition to a larger diameter. The charge pipe is designed to directly replace the OEM part utilising optimised pipe routing and a unique constant-diameter design. Wire helix reinforcement with 5mm wall thickness gives greater strength and rigidity while allowing enough clearance from engine parts, increasing performance without compromising fitment. THROTTLE PIPE DESIGN The Revo throttle pipe is much larger than the stock part, manufactured using mandrel-bent aluminium hard pipe volume has been increased by 23%. The reinforced oil resistant silicone hoses are stepped and ID-matched to promote laminar, uniformed flow across the transition of parts. This part also has an integrated water methanol bung placed near the throttle body, allowing easy access from the top of the engine bay.     RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT  All Revo products are designed in-house using the latest 3D printing technology, CAD and CFD software. Every product is rigorously tested utilising an in-house Hub dyno and Revo data acquisition software. The benefits of the Revo intercooler pipe upgrade allows the turbo to run more efficiently, moving a larger volume of air and minimising turbulence. This increases power and torque, especially in the middle of the rev range as highlighted during controlled dyno testing. PERFORMANCE  Back to back testing of both the OEM intercooler pipe work and Revo upgrade was carried out on an Audi A4 B9 (2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3) fitted with Revo intercooler, Stage 2 Software and the stock air intake system. The overall power gains between the two sets of runs was 8HP and 9NM. The B9 Audi A4 shares the same airbox as the higher powered S4 and RS4 models and performed well during initial testing of volume and flow. This air intake system upgrade includes a Revo foam filter and a flush-fit silicone hose to minimise air restriction and turbulence, improving airflow and giving you access to more power. Revo filters work by trapping dirt particles within each of the oiled foam layers while allowing air to negotiate its way through, reducing restriction and offering much longer service intervals. The new Revo filter features an OEM top plate, allowing a direct fit replacement for the stock airbox. SILICONE HOSE The plastic hose on the stock system is designed with a corrugated style to flex with the engine movement, while this has its place it also causes a large amount of turbulence as the airflow doesn’t have a smooth direct path to the turbo. We designed the silicone hose with stepped internals to ensure a flush fit, and to minimise turbulence while still allowing for engine movement. SELF-SEAL TAKEOFF The OE B9 A4/A5 intake hose has a small vacuum take-off used to supply vacuum to various components of the engine. To replicate this, the Revo B9 A4/A5 intake hose utilizes a threaded self-seal barb. This machined configuration offers a better aesthetic and more durability than typical plastic and glued couplers.   PERFORMANCE  Testing was carried out with consistent conditions on both the OEM intake and the Revo OEM+ Intake System on a 2017 Audi A4 B9 2.0 TFSI Quattro (252ps) running Revo Performance ECU Software and hardware. While dyno testing for performance gains, VCDS software was used to log airflow with a full AEM logging suit used to monitor temperatures. The Revo Intake increased vehicle performance, especially higher in the rev range, highlighting the performance benefits over the stock components.   AIRFLOW Testing of the stock unit back to back against the Revo OEM+ kit on a full flow bench was carried out to highlight the largest restrictions in the system. The Revo OEM+ Intake system had far less restriction than the OE unit, at 480CFM the stock unit was seeing 619mmwg restriction while the Revo unit only saw 530mmwg some 14% less restrictive. At low flow rate the Revo intake provided up to 20% less restriction, improving throttle response. The Revo intake allows the turbo to run more efficiently, intake a larger volume of air and minimise turbulence to increase both power and torque, as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. AIRFLOW  An overall air volume increase of 50% over the OE part allows for faster and increased airflow. The carefully designed silicone hose has its own support bracket mated to a machined hose fitting, maintaining the correct position during engine movement. A constant taper in the hose ensures a smooth transition of airflow from the air filter to turbo and results in an increase in air volume over the stock part. Further helped by the machined inlet that matches the turbo inlet for the ultimate in airflow characteristics.   DYNO GRAPH Testing was carried out on an Audi S1 2.0 TFSI (6 Speed manual) with Revo Stage 1 Software fitted with the OEM system and then the Revo Air Intake System. With a consistent gain throughout the rev range, the Revo intake offered a peak gain of 12HP at the hubs over the stock part.     The Audi RS6 and RS7 are without doubt quick in their purest form, add Revo Stage 1 and 2 software however, they quickly become supercar killers. Giving the cars an even further boost in their already staggering power figures, we turned our attention to developing an upgrade for the air intake system. Testing found that the RS air-box had a tremendous amount of potential, with only a few key areas that caused restriction.The new direct replacement kit includes a Revo foam filter, stepped silicone hoses and an aluminium tag. We installed the kit on an RS7 development vehicle, on our Dynopak hub dyno we saw improved power and torque throughout the rev-range, with consistent gains of +4WHP and +4NM over the stock filter and hoses when used with Revo Stage 1 ECU performance software.  BENEFITS Increased airflow +4 WHP and + 4 NM gain Retains factory airbox Custom designed Silicone Hoses Revo ProPanel filter AIR FILTER The standard paper filter found in most vehicles performs well under normal conditions, however, with increased power it becomes a major choking point in the system. Revo ProPanel filters work by trapping dirt particles within each of the oiled foam layers while allowing air to negotiate its way through, reducing restriction and offering much longer service intervals. We tested the filter at a leading motor testing centre ‘Mira’ on an industry recognised dust load test. On a full dust load test, the foam filter was found to still be 99.3% efficient, filtering down to 5 microns while offering the least amount of restriction over similar products. SILICONE HOSES The plastic hoses on the stock system design with a corrugated style to flex with the engine movement, while this has its place it also causes a large amount of turbulence as the airflow doesn’t have a smooth direct path to the turbos.     The Audi S6 and S7 are impressive cars straight out of the box, yet when combined with Revo’s market leading software they come into a world of their own. In our search to extract more power from the mighty 4.0 TFSI engine, we quickly found that the stock air-box and filter became a major limitation for the car. During research and development, our in-house engineers worked with both the S7 and RS7 to analyse and compare the differences in each intake system, and how efficiently they performed. The direct replacement kit, which includes an RS7 air-box, Revo ProPanel filter and stepped silicone hoses was installed and tested on our in-house S7 development vehicle; the results were staggering. On our Dynopak hub dyno we saw dramatically improved power and torque throughout the rev-range, with consistent gains of +21WHP and +24NM with our Stage 2 software installed. BENEFITS Increases power and torque +21 WHP and + 24 NM gain OEM+ Look Custom designed Silicone hoses Revo ProPanel filter AIRBOX The S and RS air-box may look very similar at a glance, however after analysis and testing of both air-boxes, it was quite clear that the RS air-box had a tremendous amount of potential with a few essential improvements. The two inlet pipes have a larger 100mm diameter, allowing more air to flow with much less restriction compared to the 85mm stock air-box inlets. Revo software really allows the car to utilise this increase in airflow, all without compromising on the OEM look of the engine bay. SILICONE HOSES To compensate for the larger outlets on the RS7 air-box, we designed and developed two larger silicone hoses to join the air intake system to the engine. Revo’s flush fit designed silicone hoses connect to the air-box without any internal restriction, minimising turbulence and allowing a smoother flow of air to maximise performance.     Revo 1.8 TSI OEM+ System Increased Power, Torque & Throttle Response Overview The new 1.8 TSI intake has been designed to work in harmony with our Revo software. Starting by looking at the OE system we set about deciding where we could improve on the current design, it was apparent from the outset that the factory airbox was more than substantial for the flow of air the car required. The stock airbox is actually about 15% larger than the airbox on the MK7 Golf Gti. So we decided to keep with the airbox on this basis and had one of the Revo  ProPanel filters designed to replace the restrictive OE paper element to allow the turbo to breathe easier. The next section of the factory intake was the OE intake hose which feeds the clean air from the airbox into the turbo. The stock hose is made out of plastic with multiple ridges in it to allow for flex of the intake system under load, however having these ridges causes a lot or turbulence to the air. We re-designed the hose to eradicate this, maintaining the precise OE fit whilst eradicating any turbulence issues. Working alongside SamcoSport ensured the highest quality product, we opted to use high temperature nomex fabric to withstand the heat from the turbo, and automotive grade silicone rubber to avoid fading or perishing over time. The inner ridges made way for smooth inner walls which after testing increased both airflow and speed resulting in more power and flow. On the flow testing we set up the stock system on a flow test bed, The ISO5011 performance test, measures the restriction (measured in mm WG) created by the air filter and any equipment used in the air intake at multiple air flow rates (measured in CFM). The test uses a flow bench to draw air through the air intake at a given flow rate. The flow rate is calculated by measuring the pressure difference using a manometer across a set orifice. A second manometer is used to measure the depression or vacuum created by the air intake. The lower the vacuum created by the air intake the better it has performed in the test. Each component of the system was measured, analysed and improved to enable us to maximise the performance of the intake. The 20% size increase and thermal properties of the carbon keep intake temps lower, allowing the 2.5 TFSI engine with Revo ECU performance software to produce more power. PROPANEL FILTER Revo Panel Filters use multi-layered foam technology to trap dust and dirt while maintaining flow efficiency over time. Internal steps flush fit against the stock air box and the turbo inlet, creating a smooth transition between components ensuring the smoothest airflow. SILICONE REDUCER To ensure smooth airflow from the carbon intake to the turbo inlet, a tapered 4 ply silicone hose has been designed with includes a full fluoroline inner to protect against oil vapour. The silicone has perfectly matched internal steps to reduce any unwanted turbulence through the transition of parts, the steps are match to the outer diameter of the carbon pipe, and the internal diameter of the turbo inlet.   PERFORMANCE Testing was carried out with consistent conditions on both the OEM intake and the Revo Carbon Series Air Intake System on a 2018 Audi TTRS running Revo Performance ECU Software. While dyno testing for performance gains, VCDS software was used to log airflow with a full AEM logging suit used to monitor temperatures. The Revo Carbon Series Intake increased vehicle performance, especially over 3600rpm with 16whp and 31NM gains, highlighting the performance benefits over the stock components.   AIRFLOW The only way to fully test the maximum airflow and restriction was to test both the stock and Revo intake on a controlled Flow test bed. The testing was carried out using a 76mm orifice plate to simulate the size of the stock turbo inlet. The Carbon Series Revo system had far less restriction than the OE unit, at 480CFM the stock unit was seeing 452mmwg restriction while the Revo unit only saw 371mmwg some 21% less restrictive, even at 540CFM the Revo intake only saw 467mmwg restriction and still had more headroom. END TANKS DESIGN The stock cast end tanks on the 2.5TFSI cooler do provide elevated performance benefits over the typical plastic end tank coolers. However, the Revo end tank geometry maintains the largest possible cross-sectional flow area to and from the core. The width of the cooler makes for an extremely large volume end tanks, yielding impressive airflow. Coupled with a cast interior surface finish, the Revo end tanks allow air to flow freely without obstructions. End tanks play an important part in maintaining pressure and work in harmony with the core to promote airflow, the Revo end tanks are designed to offer the optimal balance between both of these key features.   BAR & PLATE Designed with a bar and plate core to maximise the efficiency of heat transfer, the pressure drop is also controlled as the air meets less resistance compared to that of a tube and fin alternative. The Revo Intercooler also features carefully specified fin geometry to maximise cooling properties while minimising flow restriction. The ambient core side utilises louvred fins to slow ambient airflow which improves heat transfer, while the charge core side features an offset internal fin design to balance surface area and air resistance to minimise pressure drop.   INTEGRATED CRASH BAR To increase the core size and volume the Revo intercooler has integrated an OEM crash bar, requiring extra provisions within the design to ensure correct fitment and crash bar rigidity. The welded connection has been reinforced with plates to transfer any force away from these areas and adding additional safety factors to the assembly. This also allows the dynamic weight of the intercooler to be distributed through the bar, rather than solely relying on the locating brackets at the bottom of the cooler.   INTERCOOLER PIPE UPGRADED Supplied with an upgraded aluminium mandrel-bent throttle pipe and a 6ply silicone charge pipe. The increased diameter pipework ensures the maximum performance by increasing system volume by over 27%. The internal diameter of each silicone is precisely matched to the outer diameter of the ribbed inlet and outlet connections along with a unique Flush Fit design, allowing a smooth transition between components. The throttle hard pipe also includes a water-methanol injection port. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house using the latest 3D printing technology, CAD and CFD software. Every product is rigorously tested utilising an in-house Hub dyno and Revo data acquisition software. The Revo intercooler minimises turbulence while maximising heat transfer, promoting cooler air temperatures and low-pressure drop. This helps retains power and torque throughout the rev range as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. The Revo Intercooler was tested in-house to compare the performance against that of the stock Intercooler. First tested on a vehicle running the OEM Intercooler with Revo Stage 2 software (BETA), a Revo Carbon series air intake system and Milltek downpipe, the Revo Intercooler and pipes were then installed and tested in the same controlled environment to highlight the benefits of enhanced cooling. PERFORMANCE DATA Showing the last of six consecutive dyno runs, the efficiency of the Revo Intercooler over the OEM TTRS intercooler is highlighted. With peak gains of +40 HP & +41NM Torque, along with increased performance throughout the entire rev range. The stock intercooler struggles to effectively function in comparison to the Revo Intercooler which remained consistent throughout, INLET TEMPERATURE This is a metric used to confirm that testing on the Revo TTRS 2.5TFSI Intercooler. This is used to show that the air temperatures going into the intercooler were similar for each test, confirming that outlet temperatures shown in the following graphs are purely down to differences in intercooler design/construction. As can be seen, the inlet temperatures during testing were hotter on the Revo Intercooler, yet the Revo intercooler produced the lower outlet temps proving the cooling efficiency. OUTLET TEMPERATURE This is the main performance metric to illustrate that the Revo intercooler far exceeds the stock unit, in fact, one of the most effective Revo intercoolers to date. The graph illustrates the increased cooling performance of the Revo intercooler vs OEM TTRS intercooler over all six runs. The Revo Intercooler provided a massive 57.4°C max and 17.5°C average intake air temperature reduction across the six back to back full gear dyno runs.   INTERCOOLER PRESSURE DROP GRAPH Pressure drop is an important factor when it comes to choosing an Intercooler. The Revo solution features custom cast end tanks to evenly distribute air over the core. This graph highlights that even with massive core size difference there is only a 0.23psi pressure drop in comparison to the stock intercooler, ensuring engine response and minimised turbo lag. This kit comes complete with a custom Revo foam filter, supported by galvanised epoxy-coated mesh for strength under load. Revo three-stage foam filters work very differently to conventional paper or cotton-gauze alternatives designed to trap particles on the outer layer. Revo filters trap debris and particles within the foam layers, allowing air to still navigate through. The filter is also reusable. ADDITIONAL FEATURES The Revo hose also keeps the OE PCV take-off location and is supplied with a CNC machined 6061 adaptor which offers greater durability than the stock plastic take-off. The hose clamps supplied with this kit are made of stainless steel. This means they not only have high tensile strength but also will not corrode over time causing a failure.   RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house and are rigorously tested utilising an in-house 3D printer, latest CAD and CFD programs, hub dyno and Revo data acquisition software. Polyurethane is also resistant to oil, fuel unlike the rubber used in the OEM mount which can lead to perishing and failure. Using two different custom durometer bushings gives the ultimate balance of performance and comfort.   LARGE BUSHING WASHER Designed to sit the opposite side of the large pin and made from 3mm stainless steel, we have added this washer to reduce the lateral movement of the mount. Flow forming is one of the most advanced manufacturing technologies to enter the wheel industry. Flow Forming Technology involves the application of pressure to the inner barrel of the wheel while spinning and after it has been cast. This process stretches and compresses the aluminium, which increases tensile strength. In this respect, the process shares similar properties to those found in the forging process. The final product is lighter, stronger, has increased elongation, and much greater shock resistance as well as an increased load capacity over regular cast wheels. Whilst the RF0 wheel shares a similar design concept to our previous generation RV0, the more advanced manufacturing process offered through flow forming allows for more definition in the design, particularly noticeable in the spokes and rim edge fillets. By reducing the weight of your wheels 'unsprung weight' your suspension starts to have a much easier time. Each bump can be controlled more quickly and easily. A machined billet bung is integrated into the hose, connecting the stock PCV system vacuum. TURBO INLET The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The billet aluminium inlet securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components further ensures uninterrupted airflow and removes any unnecessary turbulence. HEATSHIELD Ensuring the engine has access to cold air is vital for performance. The Revo heat shield channels cold air from the front intake duct while partitioning the filter from the heat of the engine bay. The Revo Heatshield uses the stock mounting points to provide easy and secure installation. FILTER An intake system is only as good as the filter. This kit comes complete with a custom Revo foam filter, supported by galvanised epoxy-coated mesh for strength under load. Fitted to an Audi S3 (310PS Model) with Revo ECU Software, Revo Intercooler, Revo Charge & Throttle Pipes and Revo Downpipe. The results show improvement throughout the whole rev range. The Revo intake offering an average gain of +12WHP, and +18NM torque over the stock part. Increased airflow also delivers impressive peak performance gains of +19.4BHP @6000rpm and +55NM @2400RPM over the stock intake system. AIRFLOW To evaluate the efficiency, the Revo Intake was tested for inlet charge pressure and mass airflow. Boost pressure was measured and an increase in charge pressure was seen across the top end of the RPM range, as detailed in the dyno graph. Designed from the ground up, the Revo Intercooler has much larger core volume than the OEM part and offers perfect fitment, improving cooling by utilising the full volume of the stock location space as well as cold ambient air from the front of the vehicle. END TANK DESIGN The stock end tanks are inefficiently designed and create turbulent air in corners. These sections create a natural flow distribution but slow charge air and increase pressure drop. The Revo end tank geometry maintains the largest possible cross-sectional flow area to and from the core. Coupled with a cast interior surface finish, the Revo end tanks allow air to flow freely without obstructions from turbulent air pockets found in the OE intercooler. End tanks play an important part in maintaining pressure and work in harmony with the core to promote airflow, the Revo end tanks are designed to offer the optimal balance between both of these key features.   BAR AND PLATE CORE Designed with a bar and plate core to maximise the efficiency of heat transfer, the pressure drop is also controlled as the air meets less resistance compared to that of a tube and fin alternative. The Revo Intercooler also features carefully specified fin geometry to maximise cooling properties while minimising flow restriction. The ambient core side utilises louvred fins to slow ambient air flow which improves heat transfer, while the charge core side features an offset internal fin design to balance surface area and air resistance to minimise pressure drop.   SILICONE HOSES Supplied with stronger oil resistant silicone hoses, the Revo Intercooler can be installed using the stock pipework or recommended Revo Intercooler pipework. The internal diameter of each silicone is precisely matched to the outer diameter of the ribbed inlet and outlet connections along with a unique Flush Fit design, allowing a smooth transition between components.   BRACKETS To ensures precision fitment, Only Revo offers a CNC machined bracket system. Produced to a superior tolerance than that of a cast mounting system, this unique feature also ensures that the supporting brackets are strong and less prone to failure.   RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house using the latest 3D printing technology, CAD and CFD software. Every product is rigorously tested utilising an in-house Hub dyno and Revo data acquisition software. The Revo intercooler minimises turbulence while maximising heat transfer, promoting cooler air temperatures and low-pressure drop. This helps retains power and torque throughout of the rev range as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. The Revo Intercooler was tested in-house to compare the performance against that of the stock Intercooler. First tested on a vehicle running the OEM Intercooler with Revo Stage 2 software, a Revo air intake system and Milltek downpipe, the Revo Intercooler was then installed and tested in the same controlled environment to highlight the benefits of enhanced cooling. PERFORMANCE DATA Golf GTI with Revo Stage 2 Software, Golf R intercooler and Carbon Series Front Scoop Showing the last of five consecutive dyno runs, the efficiency of the Revo Intercooler over the OEM Golf R intercooler is highlighted. With max gains of +10 HP & +20NM Torque, along with increased performance throughout the entire rev range, the stock intercooler struggles to effectively function in comparison to the Revo Intercooler which remained consistent throughout, losing just 2% peak power over the 5 runs compared to 5% on the stock cooler. INLET TEMPERATURE This is a metric used to confirm that testing on the Revo MQB Intercooler. This is used to show that the air temperatures going into the intercooler were similar for each test, confirming that outlet temperatures shown in the following graphs are purely down to differences in intercooler design/construction. As can be seen, the inlet temperatures during testing were hotter on the Revo Intercooler, yet the Revo intercooler produced the lower outlet temps proving the cooling efficiency. OUTLET TEMPERETURE This graph illustrates the increased cooling performance of the Revo intercooler vs OEM Golf R intercooler over all five runs.
