Revo Revo 2.0 TSi Turbo Inlet Hose MQB cars
Turbo Inlet Hose The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose has been designed and engineered to directly replace the stock pipe and elbow found in vehicles with the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines with an IHI turbo. The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose offers a high-quality single piece replacement for the OEM parts which allows for smoother uninterrupted air flow, improving the throttle response and performance of your vehicle. With a generously sized air box, the standard plastic intake hose causes the most amount of restriction; convolutions designed to allow for engine movement disrupt airflow, a small internal diameter limits the volume of air and a sharp reduction in hose diameter at the turbo causes turbulence. Turbo Inlet The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The machined billet aluminium inlet securely fits to the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components further ensures uninterrupted airflow and removes any unnecessary turbulence. Silicone Hose Design The Revo Turbo Hose as an increased inner diameter that gradually tapers from air box to turbo to optimise airflow, while maintaining the tolerances required to fit both LHD and RHD vehicles with a standard air box. Designed to directly replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range. A four-ply construction with an internal wire helix increases strength to prevent collapsing under pressure. Internal steps flush fit against the stock air box and the machined inlet, creating a smooth transition between components ensuring the smoothest airflow possible to the turbo. A machined bung is integrated in to the hose, connecting the stock PCV system vacuum. Research and Development All Revo products are designed in-house and are rigorously tested. The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose allows the Stock IS38 turbo to run more efficiently, intake a larger volume of air and minimise turbulence. This increases power and torque, especially at the top end of the rev range as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. Revo Revo MQB Engine Mount Kit Full Set with tool
Revo Engine Mounts More power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock engine mounts, designed to favour comfort over performance, fail to manage axle hop and torque effectively requiring you to ease off in order to gain traction. Designed to significantly reduce this engine movement, Revo engine mounts use Dual Durometer technology to minimise noise, vibration and harshness levels (NVH) while drastically improving traction and acceleration. The engine, transmission and torque mounts have been CAD designed to offer OE quality fitment with the performance benefits and quality of a Revo product. Key Features Dramatically reduce engine movement Improved acceleration and torque Dual Durometer Technology Comes with removal tool for torque mount Engine & Transmission Mount The primary design goal of the engine and transmission mounts was to provide a management system for engine movement during vehicle operation with increased power/torque, in order to retain vehicle acceleration and tyre contact during aggressive driving. The aforementioned solution must also continue to dissipate the NVH naturally created by the drivetrain. To accomplish this, the bushing design of past Revo engine mounts was retained in the MQB engine and transmission mounts, allowing Revo engineers to focus their efforts on bushing stiffness/type to accomplish the task. Torque Mount Arguably the most vital engine mount upgrade to consider, testing highlighted that the engines stock lower torque mount allowed a substantial amount of engine movement to occur. Although some improvements were noted during testing of an insert style upgrade designed to stiffen the standard mount, there was a significant increase in NVH felt in the cabin. This was dramatically reduced when completely replaced with the Revo polyurethane torque mount and also improved acceleration. Fitting the mount does not require the sub-frame to be removed, reducing installation time and the need for axle re-alignment. A Revo installation tool is included to make removal of the OEM mount and installation of the replacement as quick and easy as possible. Materials, Manufacturing & Fitment Effective design and fitment plays a principal role in managing engine movement to ensure optimal acceleration and tyre contact with the road while dissipating NVH experienced from the drivetrain. Each component has been designed using CAD technology to ensure precision fitment and is supplied with class 12.9 hardware to replace the standard fixings. To ensure optimum strength and durability, brackets and housings are CNC machined from 6061-billet aluminium and finished with an anodised coating to protect from heat and corrosion. OEM Comfort, Aftermarket Performance To achieve the optimal balance between performance and comfort, several different durometer bushings were tested on a Volkswagen Golf Mk7 GTI. Bushings were systematically tested at precise increments at each mount location. A 3-axis accelerometer was used to quantify the NVH levels being transmitted into the cabin, as well as the acceleration of the drivetrain during loading. Accelerometer data gave us a way to compare mount combinations against each other with a low data error percentage and to quantify driver comfort as well as engine movement. Supplemental data was taken from VCDS to ensure each individual test was standardised over a given throttle, RPM and speed range. The graph shows the amount of vibration measured whilst driving through the gears. This is designed to reduce noise from the turbocharger by using two holes cut into the side walls that create chambers. These chambers cause turbulence in the air exiting the turbo which produces back pressure that negatively affects performance and response. Design Features Designed by Revo, the turbo muffler delete is CNC machined from a single piece of billet aluminium and anodised black for strength and corrosion resistance with a laser-etched Revo logo. Its single piece design allows air a more direct path when exiting the turbo, smoothing flow to offer enhanced throttle and boost response. This part comes complete with a high-temperature gasket to ensure a secure seal when installed. Flow forming is one of the most advanced manufacturing technologies to enter the wheel industry. Flow Forming Technology involves the application of pressure to the inner barrel of the wheel while spinning and after it has been cast. This process stretches and compresses the aluminium, which increases tensile strength. In this respect, the process shares similar properties to those found in the forging process. The final product is lighter, stronger, has increased elongation, and much greater shock resistance as well as an increased load capacity over regular cast wheels. Whilst the RF0 wheel shares a similar design concept to our previous generation RV0, the more advanced manufacturing process offered through flow forming allows for more definition in the design, particularly noticeable in the spokes and rim edge fillets. By reducing the weight of your wheels 'unsprung weight' your suspension starts to have a much easier time. Each bump can be controlled more quickly and easily. This helps keep your tyre in contact with the road for longer, which is obviously great news for car control and braking. Reducing the 'rotational mass has its benefits too. The Revo Carbon Series Intake has been designed to promote smoother airflow. Keeping the stock air box helps eliminate heat soak whilst directing cold air through the new filter and 12% larger diameter carbon pipe. Each component has been specifically designed to ensure no air turbulence from joins. This increases the rate at which air can flow, ensuring maximum performance at all tuning stages. The increased internal diameter of the pipe is designed to directly replace the plastic hose and rubber corrugated parts. This reduces restriction and maximises smoother airflow to improve both power and torque throughout the rev range. Silicone Hose There is two 4ply silicone hoses included, both offer smooth internals and flush-fit joins onto the carbon pipe for a smooth transition of air. This eliminates unwanted turbulence as the air transitions between parts. The constant taper of the turbo inlet hose allows the airflow time to adjust to the change in pressure, allowing the turbo to run more efficiently. Air Filter The cone shape of the Revo filter was designed to allow more free flowing air around the filter, helping reduce intake temperatures and increase performance, whilst the custom specification mesh allows the filter to keep its shape. The end of the filter has a specially designed spinning which returns into the filter channelling the air to the centre of the outlet, promoting smoother more direct airflow. Material Precision CNC machined from aircraft grade 6061 T6 aluminium, the main housing and pin are extremely strong yet lightweight. and are recessed to perfectly seat each polyurethane bush. Finished with an engraved Revo logo red Powerflex bushes and powder coated in black for durability and longevity. Strength Designed specifically for strength, the pins also shield the bushings from the bolt to avoid damaging them during installation. Unlike other aftermarket mounts, the fixing pin has been made using a single machined piece to ensure strength and fitment tolerances are met. Bushes Powerflex utilise a unique formula of polyurethane, custom designed to ensure optimum fitment in the machined housings. After testing of various amounts of compliance, our engineers were able to fine tune the final bush to achieve a balance between performance and comfort. Polyurethane is also resistant to oil, fuel unlike the rubber used in the OEM mount which can lead to perishing and failure. Our specified durometers provide a stiffer mount to limit the engine movement without compromising on NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) levels in the process.
